they produce based on hope...
But just like how Arsenal fans have learnt...it's the hope that kills...

The Superhero comic book industry is a dead industry...
Their only hope is to serve as content for CBM

No one reads the actual comics
So it's the hope that funds them and pays all the writers and artists abi?
Big names like Geoff Johns and Tom Taylor are being paid with hope currency.

Batman is not foolish to go fighting Villains that are far stronger than him toe to toe. You have no proof to back this up at all.
If he tries it he gets murked.
Batman knows he has plot armor...
He has nothing to worry about...

Even if the first plot armor fails him, at most he will be captured and escape later...
That is plot armor stage 2...

Even in the very unlikely chance he gets killed, someone will reverse time and he will be back to normal...
That is plot armor stage 3...

IP companies fund them...
In the hope that they'll sell one day and they need more and more content to serve as source for CBM that'll come out in the next 30 years

Okaaaayyyy now I get it.
So the so called IP companies pay them with real money and then get hope currency as their ROI.

Smart smart.

Although I believe it is too soon to assess The Flash's box office revenue, I continue to hold the opinion that Ezra Miller is the reason it may never succeed. What proportion of CBM audience don't use the fuckíng internet or social media lol? The number of individuals who are wary of his controversies because of their own investigation is in the minority, many people came across his incompetence because it was constantly in their face. All the media outlets have made the situation personal. Regardless of the platform you use, if you are not following sites that are dedicated to only DC-related content, there is a good probability that if you read news, reviews, or anything else about the movie, they will find a way to squeeze his controversy in there, and we all know what the goal is.

You can only see something a dozen times before you decide to look it up yourself to find out what the fûck's going on. Even I was unaware of his scandal before I read about it in an article, and when I did, I immediately understood what was happening: the media was once more exaggerating trivial incidents of ignorance in an effort to ruin his career, and if you ask me, I honestly believe shit has worked. If you seriously think that Ezra Miller's personal life is unimportant to Hollywood or the broader public, you haven't watched enough interviews where celebrities overtly lament about this shit. Media outlets like The Paparazzi and many others get paid to stalk personalities and inform the public of what happens in their business, so people do care otherwise, they wouldn't be reading all that shît.

There's no way the actor who plays "The Flash" will be subjected to such negative publicity and the larger contingent of general audiences won't give a fûck. I could probably think of ten people who wouldn't have lost endorsements or contracts if the majority could truly distinguish between the artist and the art. The movie has suffered from his foolishness in the two biggest ways possible: poor word of mouth and poor critic reviews. Aside from the people who won't go watch it because he's in it, there are others who now believe that it will end up being garbage that was promoted with false fanfare. I've stated before that critics have power in this business, people will pretend they don't want to hear from the critics but the critics are still relevant because they are getting clicks and they still manage to uphold a solid level of authenticity in their work.

About the whole CGI thing, when the fûck has low tier CGI ever tanked a movie's box office revenue? How good was the CGI of the CBMs that were released in recent years? Even for some of them that did manage to turn a profit, I'd even venture to say that CGI for CBM have been shît for most of them over the past five years. CGI or action scenes are not even in the top five concerns.

Regardless of what the DC had been releasing prior to it, this movie would have generated plenty of cash in it's opening weekend if it had received favorable reviews and Ezra was morally upright, but I'll continue following. Even Steven Spielberg made some films that were so terrible he may have doubted his ability, but he has bounced back in recent years and he still ranks among the finest, same with Guy Ritchie. Let's not pretend that movies like Shazam, Wonder Woman, The Suicide Squad, ZSLJ, and the immensely successful Aquaman didn't originate from that place. Even the poorly received The Flash is trying to adapt a very good story; it's quite unfortunate that politics is out here fuckîng it.

Atleast more people are starting to realise that it wasn't the fault of this movie at all cos this one was actually good.
I hate dishing out blame but I'd blame WB and how they've handled DC right from the Snyder era.
DC doesn't have many Loyal fans anymore. Like abduleez1 said--James Gunn has his work cut out for him.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by OhBritannia(m): 1:09pm On Jun 19, 2023
You're killing me (2023) is a solid 8/10 for me.

Now i understand that when it comes to reviews, opinions are quite different and what you see in a movie might be different than what you see.

I am rating this movie a solid 8/10 because of its realistic view between the rich and powerful and the poor.

Between the deep secret of the world of the rich and powerful.
And In general!!! The American rich society is too deep and scary.
America prides it's self as the safest but when it comes to the rich and powerful, for you that's poor, America can be the most dangerous if you don't mind your business.

2) Say no to drugs, alcohol and midnight parties...
You can fork up your life in less than 10 minutes when you party with the wrong people especially the dangerous Rich and powerful people.

3) when you move with a close friend that his or her family is Rich and powerful, please move with your head and not with your heart.
Be very wise and observant.

4) we live in an unfair world where evil can never stop so sometimes when the odds are against you, just pretend you didn't see anything and look away and mind your business.

I rest my case.

It's a tough job but I wouldn't give it to anybody's else, he seems to be the only one available to me, I don't see another person until at least 2029. He just recently announced that the Blue Beetle is the first character of the DCU and I think that movie wrapped filming like 2 - 3 months before he was appointed. I honestly thought he would cancel it or at least delay it further. I just don't want anything to come out of the DCU until it has gone through an in depth evaluation in the hands of James Gunn and has been blessed with a few creative ideas from him.

I think the movie was made as a standalone movie that's why it'll be easy to bill it as the first.

the Spiderverse are good movies...not that the concept was good.

It's so cringe anytime they talk about the multiverse. It honestly feels like they're making up random words with no idea what they're talking about...

I've said it before that the only way to properly explore the multiverse concept is to give it well-defined and strict rules...
But CBM will never do that...cos they don't care about consistency, they just want nostalgia bait and cameos...

Even in the comics, were there ever clearly defined and strict rules on how the multiverse works?

.
I disagree with you bro. The multiverse is very defined in many CBMs and comics.

For instance, in Loki TV series and Spiderverse, there are constants (unchangeable events) that occur in each universe no matter how you try to chnage . So as you can see there are principles across different marvel IPs. Even in this new flash movie, there were constant events that could not be changed.

Here are the general rules for a multiverse.

1. The multiverse is infinite.

2. It is difficult to travel from one universe to the other, except-
a. You have a super machine that can do it.
b. You have the innate special powers to do it eg speed, portal powers, magic powers etc

3. Some universes are more similar to each other. This was well explained in the flash 2023. Connections in every universe: some more connected than others.

4. There is always a negative effect in going to another universe. Either a time police/temporal police chases you down for breaching timelines or you glitch in the other universe or you lose your powers etc

does this count as a rule? Lol
It's like saying infinite timelines exist and calling it a rule

You can't really call these rules, especially number 3...
it's basically a variant of number 1...it's as broad as daylight...

The purpose of making rules are to constrain what is possible and what is not possible and lead to consistency.
What you're basically doing is showing that I was right in my point that there really are not rules meant to constrain because the IPs don't want one writer limiting what another writer can do...

There is no point in saying something is a rule when it's so broad that its almost as if it doesn't exist

4. There is always a negative effect in going to another universe. Either a time police/temporal police chases you down for breaching timelines or you glitch in the other universe or you lose your powers etc
This is very inconsistent. I didn't see any time police/temporal police in Multiverse of Madness...
Spiderman No way home has none...
Ant-Man, Spiderverse etc

Even if you limit it to MCU media alone, there's still so much inconsistency

The Multiverse could be finite. Or it could be infinite. Making it infinite is a rule.

A rule in media (TV series, movies, comics) is meant to show how the internal logic works in the literature or artwork.

It is not meant to limit the writer but to guide the writer in his or her plot/world-building.

A rule can be broad or narrow. All that matters is if it can be shown and it works.

It shows that you didn't watch Loki TV series. Loki had the time variance authority (TVA) which was a temporal police made to capture variants in timelines/universes.

Even Dr Strange was a temporal police towards Peter Parker and Scarlet Witch.

You cannot develop a concept if you simply say the possibilities are limitless....

That's why rules are necessary and that's why the multiverse as a concept has never been developed in decades of Superhero fiction

This is why they have told you to stop commenting on stuff you don't know. You are expecting to see time police because you heard its in a series you never watched. Instead of you to ask what happened to them. In your head its an inconsistency automatically without knowing anything about your so called time police SMH.

Try to dey listen and take people's advice once once. Nobody knows it all.

Rick and Morty thrives in the infinity of the multiverse. Limitlessness in itself is a literary vehicle that could be used to explain cosmic nihilism. Rick Sanchez as a character is the embodiment of nihilism as nothing truly matters in the scope of the universe for him. His family could die and he could find another one to replace the original one in the vast multiverse.

And remember, the multiverse is science fiction. You cannot expect a piece of fiction to be fully formed when it is not totally based on existing laws or logic.

it does not have to be 100% performed...it's fiction

But it needs to be developed...it needs rules and consistencies...
