The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has expressed “total disappointment “over what he described as the “lopsided representation “by the immediate past Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba.

According to NAN, the Oba said this in a statement in Benin by Mr Iguobaro Osaigbovo, the Chief Press Secretary to the monarch.

The King noted that while in office, the ex-minister failed to extend ministerial benefits to Edo South and Edo Central senatorial districts.

According to the statement, Oba Ewuare expressed disappointment while responding to the Minister who was on a thank-you-visit to the palace for its role in his appointment as a minister by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Oba Ewuare noted that having benefited from the goodwill that led to his appointment, Agba should have reciprocated the kind gesture to the entire three senatorial zones of the state rather than engaged in “politics of disintegration “.

Oba Ewuare advised all Edo indigenes to use their good offices to attract development to the state and to better the lots of the people.

He said the erstwhile Minister of State Budget and Planning performed “below expectation “.

Senators and ministers never fulfill their obligation of developing their states or regions. Especially Senators who actually receive funds specifically for this task. At least Amaechi ran the new train tracks through PH. Serious work is currently ongoing there.

This is shameful coming from the oba. The binis keep blaming others for their lack of development. We have had two bini governors but nothing to write home about. The oba forgot that the binis had a son in the person of Dr Ehanire as senior minister for 8yrs under buhari. He's criticizing Agba who cleverly used his office as a junior minister to bring dividends to his people within 3yrs plus. With due respect the oba should be talking about what Dr Ehanire did for the binis for 8yrs and leave Agba alone. Clem did far more than Ehanire in 3yrs.

My oba is right! No be clement agba, a very useless somebody infact the whole of owan is ashamed of him. Setraco construction company was doing just fine until he came on board and ran it down. Abu inu umoru made a mistake trusting him.

Agba was minister of state Budget, what ministerial benefits did the oba expect from a minister for Budget. Trust is Agba took up a lot personal projects in Edo north. But it was not enough to go round the entire state
