This is where Peter Obi is needed
A President cannot cut national assembly allowances by fiat.

Any cut has to be agreed by the national assembly, and they will not agree.

These people will defend their allowances with everything they have, and if that requires that a President is impeached, they will do it in a flash.

Senators and house members don't joke with their money.

I tell you
FreedomArmy:
Over 5 billion for house and idiots are celebrating the removal of fuel subsidy when it's very obvious these people are only trying to make more money available to themselves for more looting.
Keep celebrating appointments and signing of bills. Shows how shallow some of you have become. You can call me Igbo or ipob or even a wailer I don't care. Just know that these people in power are taking you for a ride.

Na we the masses the collect the blow of suffering and na we still the fight each other. From religion to tribe.

These people knows how to press our mumu button and we start to mumu.

The next news will be for the masses and an audio one and we will start dancing and singing that they government is working no impact.

Their own they are feeling the physical impact but the masses own will be audio.

Make una continue

Do the people have a choice since they love their feudal rulers and gladly lap up the sentiment fed them daily.

They say it is absolutely necessary that the citizens sacrifice for a better Nigeria but they are exempt.

Till now government has NOT COME OUT TO SAY ONE THING THEY ARE GIVING UP OR CUTTING DOWN to establish solidarity with the suffering people.

NOT ONE. But all hailings and praising are abounding towards them.....by a conquered people.

Government should cut down cost of governance, I blame OBJ for selling the legislative quarter to legislature as inducement to support his 3rd term agenda. Since then, Tax payers money are being used to pay for the luxurious lifestyle of the NASS every year, we have not know their car, feeding, newspaper etc. budget
This government can revoke the sale and return the properties to the Legislature.

That why dey are using d low brain of poor and middle class pple into tribalism, so that they will continue milking d country down.
D pple that is working or doing small business will be having small money or salary but paiding high cost of goods, service, fuel and tariff, why them that is doing nothing or just only to talk, will be collecting big money and allowance.
Nigeria wake up shun tribalism, come after diz pple, because they are still ur pple from almost all tribe.
Revolution is d only thing that can change nigeria,if that one no work then separation is d best,so that it will be easy to hold ur leaders accountable.

So if they are getting all these allowances, what are they being paid for?
Why should a primary school teacher work so hard, get so little as salary, find is hard to pay school fees for their kids, trek to and from school till they retire, get little or no pension while a thief that stole from state to federal level and does almos nothing is reaping from where they did not sow while at the same time collecting huge sum of pension after being a state governor for 4 or 8yrs and looting the state dry?
What kind of injustice and wickedness is this?
No I know why they I've been removing subsidy here and there claimimg the government was spending too much on subsidy..they actually needed more.money to share among themselves.
The beautiful thing is that we are going to end 6fits under.

Until the government cut down the cost of governance and make it less attractive, there will be no real development in this country. Every other policies they make is just to suffer the poor masses but yet they don't care about reducing the humongous salaries and allowances they receive.

This is the more reason why the President should allow increment of Civil Servants minimum wage. The average Nigerians are going through alot...
Is the average Nigerian a civil servant... huh

How many are you people that you guys consume practically all revenue generated in this country.

What makes you folks more deserving than the real average citizen.

This is the problem in this country. The government only responds to threats and the threats by its own workers but over 100 million people are out there that cannot strike because they are non aligned.

And this polarisation of society is what runs this country aground. Caring for the minority at the expense of the majority.

The blame game continues.
Instead looking for solutions, una still dey blame past administration. What stops them from. Making concrete adjustment now.

Obasanjo is the root cause of this decay honestly. He was supposed to set the tone, but failed woefully.

Now he can't even offer any advice without these scavengers dishing him insults for the bad role he played.

Are people you vote for bigger than you who voted them in.
Which kind of useless democracy is this.
Only in Nigeria.
Only is Africa.

The same day they removed subsidy was the same day they announced a 30 billion naira pension for themselves and no one said anything.
Why won't they come again two weeks later with another provocative cash heist.
They know the citizens are just dummies.

Let's face reality, there is no way cost of government especially regarding house of assembly can be cut, rather inflation will be claimed as a reason to increase.
Baba also has a lot of political patronage he has to settle to make them feel included ie higher cost of government.
Merging ministries and parastatals as recently done with firs, customs etc maybe will help. But if you think politicians consider the suffering of citizens when thinking of their luxury, you are on a long thing.
Look at Dino and his fleet of cars, look at Bello and his 2022 benz for his wife or the governor that recently declared 1.5t as assets.
Re: FG Votes N24 Billion For 10th NASS Members’ Accommodation by pacesetting: 9:04am On Jun 21, 2023
If you increase it to even 100,000 it will only increase inflation, eventually making the money worthless. The best way is to increase productivity. But I guess Tinubu is taking his Lagos model, forgetting that so many states cannot survive when they are taxed heavily.

Why is Nigeria spending billions to govern millions of people that have no food to eat?
Why does government allocate more funds to welfare of politicians than to the general welfare of the citizens?

What percent of all government expenses is cost of governance? These are some questions we should be asking.
Then, why are the masses docile and a large number of people supporting these thieves?

But you will gladly accept to cut your own expenses and degrade your standard of life due to inflation abi..... is than not slavery.

What makes Me. President or any typical political officeholder better than you or more deserving of a better lifestyle than you.

We must elevate our thinking in this country. A typical politician anywhere in the developed world lives at the same standards as those he governs. Here we readily accept as impossible equity from a people that were begging us to vote them in just 3 months ago.

What rubbish. So annoying.

That is it, it's all about the national cake for themselves and not for the masses. We the citizens as a matter of fact should be ready in the coming months especially the students and the parents. Because that students loan with it's condition is dangerous for a poor man and it will be difficult for them especially poor man to access. I think they the politicians are using us again to enrich themselves.
