US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley has reportedly canceled his upcoming visit to Israel due to the situation in Russia. Milley was undoubtly coming to Israel to talk about the Iranian threat. But there might be no point talking about Iran at the moment until we know whether or not Russia will undergo a regime change. Russia is Iran's top international ally. But if a new leadership emerges in Moscow that is less or more sympathetic to Iran, that could greatly alter the way Israel and the US need to approach the threat of the ayatollahs.

Putin signed a law on the possibility of calling convicts to serve under a contract The law also provides that limited fit citizens will be able to enter into contracts with the Armed Forces during the period of mobilization and wartime. The only exceptions are those who have committed serious crimes. The State Duma and the Federation Council alternately approved this law last week. |

The United States intends to postpone the imposition of new sanctions against Wagner PMCs against the backdrop of the situation in Russia, The Wall Street Journal reported. According to the newspaper, the US administration fears that by imposing new sanctions against PMCs, it may "take the side" of the Russian leadership. One of the possible scenarios for the development of events is called by many the resignation of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, which Prigozhin tried to achieve with his campaign.
