Presidential election is not won by states but by majority of votes and a minimum of 25% in 2/3 of states and FCT. A candidate does not need to win a single state to win the presidential election. All eligible voters in Nigeria have equal vote’s irrespective of where they reside in the country.

Bola Tinubu won the highest number of valid votes and got 25% in about 30 states. He’s the only candidate that met the requirement of the constitution and so it’s very valid to say he won Nigeria.
