Is well, the two fields are not familiar to me or my profession.....
But seek the voice of God before deciding, also I believe we have experts in those fields to guide you here.....

Dude, you can do both

I'm a backend engineer and I work mostly at the dead of the night when it's most peaceful for programming gigs.

Use your day time to do the other job but rest in between.... You'll get used to it and prevail.

Good morning guys

I finished my NYSC in February this year..
Since then
I have been job hunting...

I got an unpaid remote backend internship role with a company, with the assurance that they'll pay stipends after some time..

I also got a slot in an oil company...
The role is that of a petroleum surveyor/inspector..
I get to board ships or go to jettys and measure crude oil products on board and stuff like that...
I am still in the training stage though.

The problem is that I can't go into both of them fully simultaneously...
I am really confused about this..

Any advice from the bosses in the house will be appreciated!

If you wouldn't mind telling us the name of the oil coy, some of us can give you a useful counsel because some of those inspection coys have no future.

If the remote is not Nigeria based stick with it else go for the oil job

Go for the oil job, you will need money to pay bills. Whatever you have in your savings will continue to reduce as you don't know when the remote job will pay and if they will pay

Also the oil job will look good on your CV

What did you study if I may ask .wink

Hello. Can you advice someone who wants to start a suya business. Any tips?
I think the following are important and can be applied to other related-food businesses.

1. YOUR KNOWLEDGE of Suya making. The processing, spices, etc. Do not limit your self to the usual method of processing. You can come up with your own recipes/methods too.

2. RELIABLE SOURCE OF MEAT (Where to get your meat and the quality of meat).

3. YOUR LOCATION - Position yourself at the right place where customers will easily locate you.

4. YOUR PACKAGING/BRANDING - You can package your suya in customized or branded paper/plastic bags and supply offices and other work places.. people can even place orders when you advertise/market online.

5. DO THE UNUSUAL - You do not need to wait till night before you start processing your suya.) Start processing during day time and let people around you perceive the aroma of suya to draw their attention. Also, keep your processing area/facility clean, attractive to the eye.

6. THINK BIG - Tell people that you can supply them nicely processed and packaged suya for their parties, events, conferences, hangouts, etc. You can also add other things to your suya business as a complement (You can do something like Suya + a bottle of Coke #1,000).

7. RESEARCH AND IMPROVE ON YOUR PLAN

8. START-UP AND BACK-UP FUND - Apart from your startup capital, backup capital is also very important especially in this our Nigeria where you wake up the next day to discover that the cost of commodities, transportation, etc., has gone up.

9. LEARN, LEARN AND IMPROVE ON YOUR BUSINESS

Thanks.

Take the oil job. You can still be doing your remote internship job somehow. See if you can find a way to combine both jobs
