We common people need support.
Government should be fast and roll out palliative.
Asiwaju should learn how the palliative during corona didn't reach the people because of the greediness of those governors.

As a supporter of Tinubu, I'm beginning to get scared of his actions. I don't see him uplifting our suffering, but this is just the beginning. God help us the common man

Poverty rate was over 90% in the core North prior to subsidy removal. Soon, we will be talking about famine in northern Nigeria and not poverty rates anymore. At least, Southerners have direct remittances from abroad as their fallback position.

To all the fools that kept saying "Tinubu government will favour me and my family" you have not seen anything yet, you will be so hungry yet have no money for food to eat. You will beg but nobody will help you!

FYI, there is no hope for you. The situation currently is just at Genesis level, you may not even be alive when we get to Leviticus talk more of Revelation tongue tongue

You wicked souls deserve to suffer and Charles Darwin's theory need to occur among you guys.

And yet no protest in Nigeria
No problem the politics of tribalism We all playing is obvious

The way we adapt easily to useless situations in Nigeria is a case study.

The funny thing is that the corrupt politicians will get more wealthy and stockpile loots for their 10th generation while the foolish ethnic and religious bigots supporting them are left to suffer to death.

If you supported Tinubu and APC or still support them, may you never survive this 'holocaust'

'The loss of purchasing power from high inflation has increased poverty in the short-term, pushing an estimated 4 million Nigerians into poverty between January and May 2023.”

And things got better in June? What are they even talking about? Are they not helping and encouraging our govts to make us poorer for reasons best known to them?

Modified: They encourage our leaders to make us poorer to make more money available to buy junks from them in the name of development.

It will Favour me and my family lol .

We never see anything.

You just wake up one morning and remove subsidy without necessary strategies to cushion the effect on the poor masses.

People will argue that subsidy removal will, in the long run, be favorable, but this is Nigeria . Money recovered from subsidy removal will still be looted and the poor masses suffering the effects will not enjoy its benefits. Let’s watch and see.
Very poor decision from Tinubu.

The question is if fuel subsidy is not beneficial, why are people now suffering because of it's removal? A man made a decision, in his speech, off hand in order to look smart and some people were applauding him. Nigerians!

But you encouraged the govt to remove subsidy, subsidy is the only palliative both the rich and poor enjoy. Giving indomie, feeding the poor in school, giving 5k to the poorest of the poor won't reduce poverty. Stop the looting and diversion of already subsidized petroleum products and reintroduce subsidy.

I have closed any form of sympathy for any Nigerian in need! Just last week, my cousin came to hint me about a distant relative who was going through alot. We drove down to his place after work and what I saw was really devastating. I couldn't hold back tears with the situation of things with him.

I saw a grown man crying, rolling on the floor thanking me for 250k I transferred to his account.

I never see this kind thing before oh.

Alot of Nigerians are the cause of thier misfortune!
God bless you for your kind gestures... Things are really happening

I think the real question here should be,we were told the subsidy benefits the rich primarily so how come the level of poverty has jumped among the poor that were suppose to benefit from the removal, what changed?

fuel subsidy is the general palliative for the poor in Nigeria,it could be properly managed if corruption and accountability is in place, everybody knows that more than 50% of that subsidy trillion end up in private pockets, same way the trillions saved from subsidy removal will also end up in private pockets the Nigerian poor will suffer more no doubt, everybody should brace up trying times are still ahead
