Show us the price of petrol in the United States of America at the time Nigeria was selling at #87 and show us what it is been sold today in the same United States. why are you reasoning like this bro, those countries you mentioned above, do they buy generator for electricity, do their small scale businesses rely on generator for electricity. Did you know that the only good thing the poor Nigerians enjoy from Nigeria government is the subsidy on fuel price why removing it without putting modalities that will reduce the pains and suffering that comes with subsidy removal. Don't defend a failed government because you are gaining from them or simply because you belong to their political party.

So when a sensible Nigerian complain about government incompetency and bad leadership he is from that particular region. My happiness is that insecurity, poverty, bad roads, bad economy, fuel hike, corruption etc are not limited to that particular region but affect the entire country.

The only problem with Nigeria is the lack of Salami effect.
A situation where government kept the prices static for 5 to 15 years and just increased it by a significant percentage is hurting to the people.
Salami effect is used by corporate organizations to increase the price of goods and services over a long-term basis.

Inflation all over the world has definitely taken its toll on the price of PMS in Nigeria. However, we are obviously not in a good place as far as PMS price is concerned. The so-called $400M saved on subsidy in a month has not and will not reflect on the masses. Instead of removing subsidy, leaders of a sane oil producing country will look into local refinery of the product, curb the excesses of the smugglers and importers while the refineries are underway! Removing subsidy will NEVER be to the advantage of the masses, ever! It just means more money for whoever is lucky to be on the dining table

What we have in Nigeria is hyper inflation not inflation.

..That’s why I said other developed countries have other means..Yes petrol is high and that’s why other advanced countries rely on other means of transportation but our govt don’t have plans..They increase minimum wage and how does minimum wage help those market people..Is everyone a civil servant!..Nigeria is a underdeveloped country but yet plant expenses and impose strict orders when nothing works..They work from the top instead from the bottom..
