This is a good news. At least the west will stop seeing our country as dumping ground. Nigeria is too vulnerable to external attacks by the bullies.

If our politicians are too stupid to use their looted money to build something like this, what's bad in Chinese doing it or what's the benefit of Nigeria to an average Nigerian?

Most of our import is from china, why can't we have a direct deal (currency swap) with china ? When Lamido sanusi tried it around 2017 or so, the west kicked against it vehemently and ensured we continue buying dollar for imports.

This is a message to the west by China and nothing more. I don't even care if they take over the country because our politicians are selfish and useless all of them

I can't blame them. Saw the ship myself and told where those people were taking pix. They were more than a 600 of them that came from Island or Ikeja to meet the over 800 on board. The scenery was beautiful but people working there were sceptical of their visit.

Tbh we don't know why they are really there, but have the Chinese figured out that there's going to be a war in Nigeria and are being proactive to save their assets before it becomes free for all? No country like Nigeria survives even with all the bandaid system, we are too different, too much hate and don't trust each other. Only the greed of "how is my region going to survive if Yorubaland leaves" is what is forcing people to hold on to Nigeria, even when they know it's a bad idea. President Tinubu must give states and regions autonomy like the US, with every state or region with its own police and Nigerian police in Abuja alone. Every police servicemember must have both parents from where they are serving, y'all will see how crimes will go down by atleast 75%.
