Even while controlling traffic it is still you human beings that will be jumping traffic and be causing more hold ups instead of being patient.

Ordinary stretch of road is taking them years to build. What if we want to build a 10km subway or metro? It'll take them 50 years.

In road construction, na as money dey ground na so them dey release to contractors. Contractors won't do road for free or on credit. That is something I want you to know.

In as much as our government might be useless and the Buhari administration that started this is a very useless one too. But on that road I give it to them. First time since 1979 the road was constructed that there is a real effort to fix it once and for all..

Inflation and the likes are the major inpendiments to road construction. But at least there is an effort to fix this and a major part of it has been done,far better than it was before except if you don't want to be truthful.

So I see no reason for people not to be patient. The work isn't abandoned, construction is on going. It is the same road that is being done that people are still passing so tell me why there won't be delays

Most people on this comment section don’t pass that road the quality is superb but Nigerians maintenance culture is zero toll that road use money generated to construct more road within region road is toll

I agree with you, planning is key. I left Abeokuta by 9am on that Sunday and drove through that stretch like breeze. Persons that came later are the ones with tales. Plan your movement.

Oga, E no favor Kan Kan. You need to see the hrs I spent in traffic this morning just from iwo rd / Ile marun - sawmill area. It was really tiring.

FG has been constructing and rehabilitating this particular road since time immemorial.... SHAME

You are right.Work no dey finish.It is likely one of the busiest roads in the country and as they are finishing one portion,the other would have dilapidated so the circle continues.

But here we are still... Still not completed

That express was an eyesore prior Buhari’s intervention.
Real work started on the road during Buhari’s second term.
Honestly, I am surprised that the construction is yet to be completed because I used to live in Redemption camp and I saw the progress of the project and suffered all the gridlocks. Before I moved out of that area last year, they’ve completed most parts of the project.
Mowe to Berger both lanes.
Mowe to Ibadan tollgate, in fact, they’ve started one of the lanes in the populated areas.
They’ve started the Berger -Secretariat- Iyana oworo/3rd mainland axis too.
They’ve done one of the lanes past secretariat sef.

That’s like 85-90% of the construction then.
Of course, it takes more time constructing high traffic axis and I believe that’s why they left them for last. Still, the road supposed don finish.
