Honestly, the only recommendation I would say is buy from overseas. Very hard to find d original in Nigeria. Except u find from people like Dru or Gazzuzz who sell imported goods.
And because of exchange rate, it is very expensive.
If u can't afford imported on, the use Holt ATF, it is made in Nigeria but it is standard. The original of it has a tiny mouth container. Don't buy d one with a wide mouth, that one is fake.
Please, can you share the picture of the original Holt ATF? Thanks

pls who pays the toll gate fee on airport road, is it the driver or passenger? I passed through that road today with 2 girls and when I got there I told them about the toll fee and they said they don't have cash, that I should pay, I told them they are the one that's supposed to pay cos if they are not in my car I have no business passing through that toll gate, these girls refused to pay and the matter wanted to cause argument, so I had to pay #300, FAAN has increased the price now to #300 for cars from #200, so I want to know who is meant to pay the toll fee
You could have told them to add the 300 to the money they wanted to transfer to you.

Personally, on bolt, I don't disturb riders because bolt would have added it to the fare. But some riders will put MM2 in their order, while they are going to international. In that case I ask you to pay the toll. One rider put oshodi/bolade but on the way, she said she was actually going to arena market, I sharply collect 300 ticket money from her. On indrive, I don't even pick those toll/ticket areas. If it's ICM, I drop you at the gate or you pay. No time to shalaye.

It's not about fuel .. the terms are not favourable..
No cap. I have seen a lagride operator loading people @ sandfill heading towards mainland..
That's crap..

You don't really need a big/expensive car for ehailing in Lagos... the returns are not worth it.
Exactly my point, just letting that Bros know everything is not about fuel.

you'll know from the cap. If I get a picture I'll use it to show the difference, soon.

I should service my car this week, when I go to get the filter from my plug, I'll take pictures.

How to spot a fake Toyota T-IV transmission oil

For information purpose only...

In addition, any oil you see with that cap marked FAKE is not genuine be it the tiv, ws, dextron ii etc. They are mass production oil

If toyota meant well, they should have appointed distributors for their T iv and WS brands.. i don't see a reason why their distributors in Lagos can't have a proper web presence..

The Original recommended oil for power steering is Expensive and hard to find. U will most likely have to import it yourself.
That's why people use transmission oil and it works fine.
Ooh, okay, sir.
Now I get it.
Much respect, boss.

Exactly I turned the offer down too. How I go drive that big jeep for this fuel hike period.

It's actually a 1.8litre engine. Better fuel economy than Corolla.

Baz001 I’ll not tell you what I don’t know. Price has change, it is left for driver to use their head. Today I saw trip from Obafemi awolowo ikeja to Yaba for 4k. This used to be 2800. A driver on indrive can gross 25k daily, multiply that by 5 days and you will have 125. Gas of 55k should get that at least. Commission of 12500 and the rest is yours to decide on. I never said the hustle is the best thing. I am just trying to simplify it. Let Pope breathe

We all know the hustle is not the best thing, but a means to an end.
I only said according to pope the hustle is better now (after subsidy) than (before subsidy).

I don pick stones, just talk anyhow and see as I go stone you

I bought the right one with a white cap. But I'm not convinced it's original. So I asked someone according to an experienced dealer I met, he said there's a batch no .on it, If the batch number rubs off, then it's fake.

I kept the can because oil was still left in it., I went back home and swiped off on the can ,lo and behold, the batch number rubbed off .. I'm confused too.. u
.

Close to two years since I changed the oil. Bought it 12.5k or so. @ Akilo. The proliferation of substandard lubricants in the market is a very big problem....

Bro, fake get levels o.
Some fake dey fine pass d original in terms of packaging sef. If it is container, it can be imitated perfectly.
It's like we don't know how bad Nigeria is. Like I said, if I am not sure it came from overseas, I can't trust anybody that says it is original.

Most of them buy the original can and pour their fake oil in it, that way you won't know is fake. To avoid these just buy from reputable sellers.

I think the best thing like Pearl said, is to ship it in or buy from verified sellers.

I use Oando Dextron ATF for my car and I buy from Oando filling station only, the MB branded oil is expensive and I might be buying fake so I don't bother.

So that's where the problem lies.. there's no branded Toyota store. I use Mobil 20w50. I buy only from selected Mobil fuel stations too.

As long as there's no direct distributor of Toyota lubricants in Lagos, there will be more fake products than the original.

Toyota has a lot of dealers in Nigeria, Elizabeth, briscoe, Metropolitan n Co. I don't know why they don't sell Toyota lubricants, @ least their service centre should help in that aspect.
