Ekpa is an ediot anyway. But truth is there are foolish igbos that really stan Nnamdi kanu as if he is God. It is most common among the illiterates.
Just don't say this in public if you live in the SE

Actually you are blaming the wrong people, Its not the illiterates but the educated who support him codedly and keep quiet when all these things are happening

Why is the same energy they use to stand prick for anything Lagos missing now? Next week let one Ibo trader fight with one Agbero and series of press conference and ultimatum will be issued by these educated elites. Is it that Ohaneze, Peter Obi, Chimamanda, Oby Ezeks and others are not aware of all these

The illiterates are even the ones trying to stand up to the UGM, the most wicked silence is from the elites who know better the effect of this. Its the poor villagers who suffer the brunt more and not the elites residing outside and paying lip service to it

That's exactly what I am joining others to say. Urgently call those governors first and not just push for state of emergency like that.
As much as I would like to see more intention from the Governors of the region, there is not a whole lot they can do because they are not the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. As president and I said same thing when Buhari was in power, Tinubu needs to call all SE governors to an emergency meeting separately and with the heads of the armed forces afterwards. You can not sit duck and watch an entire zone suffer under the captivity of criminal elements.

The bastards announced their plans weeks before the sit at home, what did our security operatives do to counter them? People tried to live normal lives but we are seeing news of abduction and killings with no resistance from security operatives. Do you expect the people to come out next time there is a sit at home? Governors threatening business owners, schools and employers of labor is irresponsible when you can not guarantee their safety.

Na I don't believe you. Oasis is genuine with his post. You had to bring in what is not necessary.
Well, you have every right not to believe my position. You don't create nationwide problems trying to solve regional one. Not every Igbo person understands how to filter facts from fallacies, like you. Some are just waiting for that little opportunity to drive Tinubu's anti-Igbo's campaign and cause crises.

FG should make urgent and necessary consultations, including those failures masquerading as former governors, and find a lasting solution to the menace. Then Tinubu can wield the big stick subsequently, if no swift change. If anyone later cries foul, then nobody will dance to his tune.

The idiot is running circles and has successfully captured an entire region in the country and we are just looking because we don't want to offend people. The people of the SE are renowned to be industrious and hardworking but without safety, there isn't much you can do. As far as I am concerned, Nnamdi Kanu is a criminal element that has used Biafra to deceive the people of the SE because of our history. Neither speak for the people.

Its the people in the villages that are even suffering it. Imagine those whose farms have been taken over, market produce have been forcefully taken by these UGM, some of their sons and daughters have been forcefully conscripted to join them or as sex slaves to these guys

But there is a conspiracy of silence by the elites. Even this small thing you talk now, If you talk am for public, Na fellow educated SE go tackle you and wan cut your head say you be saboteur not even the illiterate.

Is that why he should watch the region go in flames? I mean an entire section of the Nation is under siege by criminal elements who now determine when people should go out and when to stay at home. If states in the SE are still a part of the Federal Republic then the constitution requires Tinubu to recover the region and guarantee it's safety. Clarity in purpose is very important when doing things.

[color=royalblue]Kindly give me an example of what a lasting solution should look like.

My friend went to Enugu to execute a contract he won. He was in Obiagu when some guys came on bikes and shot in the air. When they left, 2 people were on the floor, dead...Two poor, innocent people. My friend is not even Igbo, so he started to understand how bullet is no respecter of tribe or reasoning.

I don't know the consultations you guys are suggesting.

Someone is openly killing your people, but we need to find a solution....Odiegwu

Tinubu and FG can and should act in only collaboration with the SE politicians and Elders including Ohaneze, Governors and Senators

They should have a written agreement signed and publicized on what should be done and the scope of FG interference.
They all should take responsibility for the fallout of such interventions

The Governors and elders are still the first point of contact and should provide the leadership.

This here. Because the next thing you will see is playing to the gallery.

Ironically it is ifeanyi ubah of all people who seems to be standing up. One would expect the rest of the elite to coalesce around him, but that is not happening either.

In all these, those elected by the people to protect their live and properties should do the needful including the President and the NASS.

We must not play politics with security of lives and property.

The Governor of each state is expected to understand the major problems of his state than the new President, you are asking to step in without consulting.

Like many had told you, most of the governors in the east are newly elected too and the President can call them for a meeting to know the problems, their weak points and see where to assist and even rub minds together on solving it. Good for the optics and for getting real solution. It should be a concerted effort.

Shebi we saw how Abaribe and his fellow senators were falling over themselves to act as guarantor for Nnamdi Kanu , Osita Chidoka acting as his personal driver that time. We saw how Peter Obi was swearing that these guys are innocent saying "I see them everyday. I know them, I walk past them everyday in Onitsha, they are not terrorists"

All the opposition including non Ibos like FFK were doing pictures all around with Kanu visiting his country home to pay solidarity and to spite the Buhari govt

Now that the matter don tie wrapper, how many of them don relocate into the that Country home or the environs now?

Its easy for them to stay in their Abuja and Lagos mansion while a poor innocent teacher, pupil, trader, farmer, keke rider in Ebonyi Enugu Abia dey collect bullet and cutlass

[color=royalblue]So like this, you don't know the problem of insecurity in the NE or SE?

You need to ask a governor to tell you his problems and weak points?

A problem that was already on the table before he even won his party ticket for the election?

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 7:21pm On Jul 05, 2023
All terrorism requires financing. The first step is to identify who is financing ugm. The next step is to find who is getting them weapons and from where. This is where actual intelligence gathering is required. It is also where we will start to have issues because that is when we will find the unlikeliest people as financiers

There is also the diplomatic angle - engaging Finland to extradite Simon Ekpa. This may or may not work since westerners may be romantising Ekpa and kanu as downtrodden David vs Goliath freedom fighters fighting an evil and corrupt African regime.

Of course even if they get Ekpa there may be even more crazies waiting in the wings to continue where he stopped.

This is why I said clarity of purpose is imperative. When there is clarity of purpose communicated by the president, there would be no push back and if any, then they are also supporters of criminals. I agree with the meeting, as I made this suggestion earlier. As a matter of urgency, Tinubu needs to meet with Governors of the region FIRST, the service chiefs.

He needs to show he is uncomfortable the situation because it is still a part of the republic that is under siege. An agreement is not required from Tinubu because it is his constitutional responsibility to protect and guarantee the safety of the entire country from the day he was sworn in as president and that is why is the Commander of the Armed Forces.

You are speaking to protect and indemnify Tinubu which shouldn't be the angle because irrespective of how you look at it, it is still his responsibility to secure every nook and cranny of the nation.

This is my angle!

We need to drop the politics now and recapture a region of the country. Asiwaju is not beloved in the SE but that is irrelevant right now because he is the President of the entire country including those who did not vote for him or dislike him.

We are talking about an entire region held captive by criminal elements in the name of a struggle. Elected members of NASS from the SE need to speak out and push because lives and properties are being lost. Nobody should misconstrue my thoughts to say I am blaming Asiwaju, nooooo. But I would like to see some sense of urgency in tackling this matter from the Presidency and I believe he will.

There are people in diaspora who fund them. Dont forget when Nnamdi Kanu came to America in one town hall and asked for guns. He said its to fight Fulani herdsmen. There are Ibo men and women in diaspora funding that movement religiously, All those Ekpa and his lietenants are abroad somewhere living in peace while getting donations to spill blood of their own people. The people getting shot today, how many of them are Fulani herdsmen abi the pupils that are getting flogged

There are also rich men locally who fund them, plus the local man held hostage through ransom threats and harassments who just have to pay his levy to survive

Finances don't shoot guns, humans do.

Until you start killing people for taking up arms, it won't stop.

The time of dialogue has passed. These guys go to checkpoints and kill soldiers. They kill market women. They killed HoA member. They have no limit.

And then you want to start arresting finances!
