OkpaNsukkaisBae:
I guess senator opeyemi Bamidele was also consulting(@ the tribunal Court) today when he said that IPoB was responsible for electoral violence in Kano?
Justice Tsammani has now admitted the documents as evidence before the court.

SAN Livy: Please my lord, can I respectfully request for the exhibit and use it for now to save time.

Justice Tsammani: Yes

Livy: I just want to read page 60 paragraph 6(20) to you.

Livy reads it out loud to the court (someone should help post this on the comment)
It states that results were not readable and not posted on IREV

Livy: My lord, let me now go to the ECOWAS one, RA27, read paragraph 17 for us witness

W: Witness reads it out

‘The witness reads it out loud and it states that a lot of people were killed including Labour Party Senatorial Candidate’
(Someone should please add this page on the comment)

Wahalurrrrr in the courtroom🤣🤣🤣

W: After reading the ECOWAS paragraph 17 says:
I do not agree with the report 🤣🤣🤣

‘Na you bring the ECOWAS report come
oh and you do not agree🤣🤣🤣”
Wahaluurrrr

W: I agree with the final statement but I don’t agree with that part of the report

Livy: So you don’t agree

W: Yes, I was there and the things that happened is IPOB

Livy: Oh IPOB dis electoral violence in all these places including Kano

W: Yes

🤣🤣🤣
The whole courtroom is laughing

Livy: You do not have a license to practice Law in US

W: It is done by State

Livy: Do you have a licence for Illinois’s

W: I have a licence for New York

Livy: Okay. So the forfeiture of $450,000 in the account of the 2nd respondent, the court stated the money represents proceeds of narcotics
Is it true

W: Well, what is contained in the district court was a civil forfeiture and not criminal because section 981

Livy: I asked you a question, it was for NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING

Witness starts to stammer: Yes, and the money was forfeited as civil.

Livy: You have not rendered any license in this court that says you can study law in New York, have you

W: I did not Sir

🤣🤣🤣

Livy: American Bar Association is a voluntary association

W: Yes it is but you must be licensed in one of the states in the US

Livy: Have you accessed IREV

W: No I’ve not (stammering)

Livy: So you cannot tell us it’s not blurred

W: I can

The whole courtroom is laughing 🤣🤣🤣

I laughed when I read that but I didn't want to prolong the talk, infact Uzodimma is the highest beneficiary of the sit at home because it will give him ample opportunity to do that election the way he likes by formulating enough results. Story!
There was no election in Ọrụ East and major parts of Orlu during the last presidential election but their were results from those areas.

Honestly the whole madness needs to stop.

I was feeling reluctant to answer this but I have to step in now

You see, what hope is doing has its own side effects too, those thugs hope employed in orlu and imo state in the name of joint task force are nothing but hardcore ex convicted thugs in the disguise of police..

Those guys has been gunning down youths at sight, whether ugm, yahoo boy or a good looking young guy..
Hope has breeded new form of legalized militarized thugs in the name of task force..

This is a clear case of ana agwo ibi, afo na eto( if you re curing syphilis, stomach ache keeps growing)

Hope in the effort to curb UGM, has breeded an arm of legalized police/military thug who has gone awol and are ready to pull the trigger if you don't do what they say..

It's a loose loose situation
Basically bakassi boys all over again.

This is also what I was referring to when I said soludo is not a thug. To take these guys on, he will have to emnpower his own set of thugs. And you cannot predict where it will go - or rather from history, you can. They will become a law unto themselves and the cycle will continue maybe with moderation, but it will continue.

Maybe i am wrong, but i do not think the states are militarized...Na Anambra i sabi for now sha

After the checkpoint at the Niger head bridge, you won't see anyone even after you pass Upper Iweka and join the Onitsha/Enugu expressway.

When i went to Nibo, the only Checkpoint i saw was in front of Government House. After that spot, na OYO.

I watched a video of a road Uzodinma did in Imo. The guy recorded it as he was driving. It was more than 10 minutes, and no Checkpoint featured in the video

At least, you watched Ubah and his vigilante driving around Nnewi. How many checkpoints did you see in that video?

If truly the military was littered everywhere, these guys won't even have this mind to be committing nonsense.

I can't argue with your comment, but the absence of the military is what is making this cancer to grow
have you gone to Owerri through Onitsha? that road alone had more than 5 military stopover infact people use to come down at some section and used their legs to walk a distance of 200m before they get back into their cars or vehicle you can call anyone and confirmed this. I don't live in the zone but I visited recently so I know what I am saying and I toured round the region before I left. From onitsha to awka used to have more than 5 police check points maybe it has been dismantled due to the insurgency type of attack but it makes it fluid for them to come out on the road and go back without the attackers knowing their location. The same with all the other states. I ask again how can hooligans lay students and teachers on the ground and have the time to flog them in a city the governor has been shouting and mandating people to subvert the sit at home. If na you you go gree come out another time?
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by donjazzet: 9:07pm On Jul 05, 2023
Everyone's point on this ipob issue is valid.

The igbo elite must start speaking out publicly against ipob, I'm looking at Obi here because I know that on his part this would be a very difficult thing to do seeing as this would be a highly divisive issue to his strongest base.
It would be a very huge sacrifice on his part but one which he must do.

No more time for mollycoddling of this terrorist group. They started very well actually but veered completely offtrack very fast.

Then, the temporal tinubu-led federal government must initiate security operations in the south east to root out these criminals. Also stop detaining nnamdi kanu illegally. Put him through the court process and establish your solid case of domestic terrorism which should sentence him to death for genocide against the igbo people and smuggling of arms into the country. this is after you have extradited Simon ekpa too and do the same. Make the process as transparent as it can ever be for there to be no single doubt as to his crimes.

If tinubu was wise, he would offer the carrot to the region and speak to them personally, not like buhari who failed thoroughly in his approach and formented the further justified anger at the nigerian federal government.

Under Obasanjo, southeast was calm, under yaradua, southeast was calm, under Jonathan, South East was calm. Buhari's docility and indolence towards the region is what let the people dear protest against him. He failed the few of us from there who actually thought he would be a firm and fair leader. Tinubu must not repeat this.

grin grin grin grin.

Uzodimma has tried with some capital projects but he doesn't want to give in to chance so he needed the insecurity to confirm his return status. As long as sit at home persists and PBAT still at the helms of affair, if Uzodimma win with anything less than 60% of the entire votes just know he conducted "free and fair election". He needed this insecurity badly to be able achieve his ulterior motive. Infact he was the one that told Buhari to leave the whole matter that he can handle it. that is why Buhari felt less concerned.

He referenced the civil war, then spoke about unknown gun men. The civil war is seen till this day by many, especially people from the SE as a pogrom. That tweet was at best poorly worded or very probably sinister.

Chairman these elite and leaders no get armoury for yard like you naa; these guys almost killed a Senator, decapitated HoA member; killed lots of traditional rulers and with their showing today you still expect any person to speak up?

We have a commander in chief, same way we blamed Jonathan during Boko haram, Tinubu deserves the blame if he fails to act decisively.

If I were him I would release Nnamdi Kanu to the British back to the UK to answer terroism charges, this gives him some goodwill in SE to withstand any fallout from military intervention (cos much as I hate saying anything against military, sometimes they overdo ) whilst at same time giving marching orders to the new security chiefs to root out this nonsense.

Doing Nothing is not an option, waiting for delegation from SE before doing something is also doing nothing.

Are Ipob and ESN referencing a church program when they go to schools to beat up students during sit qt home?

The tanks and jets yall niggas are asking to come and bomb parts of the south east now are not poorly worded or probably sinister either.

Mehn let everybody enjoy it. If you backed Twitter banning Buhari for threatening to deal with an insurgency in a language they will understand, then enjoy the polite chatter as biafran separatists trying to start a civil war kill your kinfolk indiscriminately, cripple your economy and flog your children and wives under the banner of stay at home.

It's not an either-or thing, the president can communicate his intentions properly while doing the job of ridding the South East of violent separatists. You can't be the president that promised 97-5% treatment and at the same time be the one communicating your intentions ambiguously to the 5%ers.

IPOB terrorizes the SE today for many reasons but the primary reason still remains a Buhari, who was an inefficient C-in-C.

I only said he should have done his job properly, his failure to do his job properly makes him responsible for the situation in the South East today, to what extent, that can be argued.

It's funny you're so eager to absolve a former president of responsibility for the security situation of a country he presided over less then 2 months ago, and suggesting the current C-in-C should stand hands akimbo while insecurity ravages certain parts of the country, yet you didn't waste time to blame Jonathan for Boko Haram, going as far as accusing him of being the sponsor of Boko Haram.

When Buhari said he would deal with UGM in the language they understood How was that message received by the same people who UGM was killing?

So Tinubu should go ahead and do the same thing so they can find who to blame again

They have Governors who are CSO of their states, Let them start from there. They collect security votes monthly abi? Let them surrender their security votes and come out to say they have no clue on what to do

Agadinaagwuofe:
Sometimes I come here to read and pass but I have to respond to the bolded. The bolded is just nothing but the truth. The FG isn't sincere or ready to allow the sit at home to stop. Every nook and crannies of that region has been militarized, there is no 2km distance out of any of the state without military sentries and police checkpoint, in some areas people had to raise hands like it is done in war zone and that begs the question why do this attack still sustained? The security issues in SE is multi-dimensional. There is this UGM angle, there is this political angle and also there are other criminal elements that has found a platform to commit heinous crimes unimpeded. Most people in the zone are helpless and that is the reason government needs to step up, all you need to make people continue to stay back home is to recruit a new cultist and ask him to do a keke drive-by shoot in the air and that alone will cause panic and people will recoil to their shell, just imagine after mouthing by the new Enugu governor and threatened to shut down schools and even show of force by air and land components, some unscrupulous elements can still shoot in a market place unchallenged, this alone should have led to sack of all the security agencies in that zone. The new Governor of Enugu state, even Soludo have met with PBAT and even pleaded with Buhari before he left to first release MNK so that the security fight will be narrowed (even though I am not his proponent) down to criminality. Even the Ekpa that was making noise in Finland can be rooted out and find his foot soldiers if the government is sincere.

Sometime last year before election a LG chairman was beheaded and everywhere, people attributed it to IPOB only for Uzodimma after having the "intelligence and knowing wetin dey" ordered the arrest of Ideato north/south constituency contestant (Imo ugochinyere), former deputy governor (Gerard Irona) during Ihedioha and another PDP member then it became public that most of that were political killings, infact it was rumoured the LG chairman was killed in retaliation for burning of the contestant (ugochinyere) house which led to the killing of his uncle. The guy ran away from Imo state and won his election while seeking refuge in Abuja and till now I don't think he has step his foot in that state. All the traditional rulers have ran away from their abode and residing somewhere else. A community (ISU) had to write petition to IGP that the policemen deployed to guard the chiefs meeting left few minutes before the traditional rulers were murdered in cold blooded even all the entreaties made by the traditional rulers to make the police change their mind fell into deaf ears until their attackers came in and murdered them in cold blooded. Why am I siting all the example? Is to let you know that it has other components aside the agitation anyday the FG wants the insecurity to stop, it will stop and he doesn't need any meeting and collaboration from the locals because he will have it. Even Abia state that is the headquarter of the ESN and IPOB doesn't experience the amount of carnage witnessed in Anambra and Imo state and that is simply because there is more to it.

Nevertheless Ifeanyi Uba has started on a good note by employing local vigilantes to be on ground for quick intervention and trust me very soon Nnewi will stop experiencing all these Monday sit at home. Let the government take that approach, I don't care if it will take the release of MNK or employing more locals to stop it but once the government show sincere and concerted effort to stop all that monday sit at home and the insecurity. Trust me it will be thing of the past.
Waiting for this all along. Maybe that's why the former governors were useless as the CSO of their states, and allowed the miscreants to grow wings. It is well.

It's under the watch of the state governors as well and they are the chief security officer collecting security votes. It was the excuse of Buhari speech that they gave for the current escalation

So the next president has to be careful so that another escalation beyond the current one doesn't come from any FG intervention

I ask you again, indemnifying and excusing the indifference by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces because of Twitter and propaganda is more important and a greater cause than an entire region being under siege?

Let Ohaneze join the call for it now by going to Abuja to meet Tinubu, and publicly declare.

It's respecting the federal structure we have currently which is that state governors are the first line of responsibility before it goes to FG. Everything cannot be stopping at Abuja all the time. There is a reason. Why we have state governors

Like someone said Wike didn't wait for Buhari to handle issues if the SE governors can't do it then they should openly ask for FG support and openly take ownership for whatever fallout comes out of it

In recent past we have seen State govs not securing their states, FG steps in then these local politicians put all the blame on FG

We need to learn from the past on how to handle this so it's a joint effort of local and federal
