traditional medicines cannot do heart surgery.
the health sector should be advancing and not retrogressing.
No doubt .... there are lots of improvements and innovations with modern medicines but yet there are many traditional medicines and treatments that are more effective. Modern medicine is still trying to control cancer while traditional medicines cure it. Going back to lots of traditional medicines should not be painted as backward.

The whites will NOT stop until the completely brain drain Africa. Until there are no brains left to rescue Africa. Then, they will come in and drain whatever is left of the natural resources.

THE GAME PLAN IS ALREADY IN MOTION.

Nice one. The brain drain continues.

As long as our elites don't patronise the ones at home, but prefer away doctors, I support all our docs to japa
Then elites won't suffer. Guess who suffers? The masses.

I think only USA requires foreign trained doctors to repeat residency if u are a foreign trained specialist. I'm not sure this makes lots of sense especially if the foreign doctor is coming from a country with advanced healthcare system.
However, the biggest hurdle for most IMG remain USMLE, its a tedious exam that requires at least 2 years of solid preparation and intense hard work, and u still not guaranteed a residency slot.

The gatekeepers will still make it difficult to get job without residency.

Like you stated, USMLE (especially Part 1) is the biggest hurdle.

That's interesting... The new law is targeted at a global workforce though not just Nigerian-trained Medical Doctors.

The federal government needs to enact a law that will discourage this brain drain.
For what purpose exactly? Shebi thy have removed education subsidy. Plus any Consultant who was trained here has already paid back whatever subsidy they got by earning terribly low pay for years.

It's disgusting I tell you. Grew up with a General Surgeon Consultant as my dad. FWACS and when he eventually opened up to me on his pay I nearly lost my head

They understand the rigorous but cheap training that Nigerian trained doctors undergo before certification and after going through residency you expect them to do another internship in America, they simply move on to Arab countries or some European countries which pays better than America without asking them for internship.
America wants to use this measure to grab more doctors from countries like Nigeria
America pays Doctors better than those countries you listed

Before now they look down on our education system, but now that their kids have become lazy and leaving the traditional professions, they are now raiding our so called professionals that they had hitherto looked down upon and granting them special privileges to entice them.
The serious ones there just want to do IT stuff like youtube and run online stores leaving very few ready to become doctors, factory workers, engineers and co.

The lazy ones are now into drugs and other unproductive ventures.
Wetin disuan dey talk sef.
Ask the pipu wey dem 'raid' whether they're not happy to be raided. Even their families are praying for more successful raids, you're here singing fuji.
See the nonsense avatar una INEC select as president, after a lifeless one. U think say all these things no get implications?
When una see a person with foresight to improve una standard of living and create a working environment, una go first check whether na una tribe. Na so una go dey select nonsense upandan. When boomerang come una go begin cry rubbish
