This is actually not a new development. And the idea is not his brainchild. It is the law. You don't earn salary as a serving senator and collect pension as a former public servant as well.

It's applicable to all the people in this his category.

It's surprising that four years of living as a lord qualifies one for pension which runs into hundreds of thousand. But after working for about thirty-five years, majority receive pension in tens of thousand. Unfortunately, at times, even the tens of thousand is difficult to pay, but the hundreds of thousand comes regularly at the appropriate time.

So, the conscience just spoke because he became a senator. Here is someone who collects over 7 Million Naira yearly on a pension for being a Governor, whereas we all know what he did while being a Governor and the money gained. Na wa o. May God help us in this country. Scammers everywhere.

Hmmm ... other Governors turned Senators would not like this. Now people will want to know how much they are receiving and what other benefits. Pension is OK ... but for 4/8 years service?... that shouldn't qualify for pension. Is a civil servant given pension for being a Federal employee for that period of time? What if he resigns from one Federal job and takes up another?... every 4/8 years?.. is he entitled to pension for each? For these governors ... not only pension... but furniture allowance? These allowances need to be reviewed.

There is nothing good about any Nigerian politicians: THEY ALL ARE THIEVES...

Useless man, he destroyed Ogun State. Eight years and nothing to show. All the roads he built gave way just after 6 months. He destroyed Gateway hotel and then built his own chain of Hotels - Conference hotel. Very selfish man, another politician that should be in prison in a sane country.

Was he supposed to be paid pension in the first place. Serving a state for just 8 years entitled him for pension while those that put in over 30 years sometimes die without being paid others are languishing in pains. While their educated children are the ones hailing these oppressors.
