A video clip of Jackie Chan and his on-screen daughter from the recently released Chinese film 'Ride On' shows them getting emotional and teary while watching highlights of the martial artist's early career became viral on social media. However, fans couldn't help but speculate about the relationship between Chan and his real daughter, Etta Ng Chok Lam (Xiao Long Nu), whom he has "neglected" for years.

'Ride On' featured many eye-catching stunts from his pre- Hollywood movies. In the scene, actress Liu Haocun, who plays Jackie's daughter, expresses her admiration for him and calls him "awesome", leading to Chan starting to shed tears.

However, many online viewers expressed their shock at the situation. They slammed Chan on social media for abandoning his openly gay daughter and for the clip portraying him as a loving father.
