Even if they put it then, that constitution is no longer in use since 1966
LionTiger:
You can request for referendum as many times as possible. The problem with Biafara is, Zik and co removed referendum from the Nigerian Constitution, But now the country isn't prospering.
Re: Peaceful Processes To Enabling The Biafran Secession by onumadu: 5:08am On Jul 08, 2023
OP, your post is dishonest and malicious in intent.
For example, your No 5 and 6 points should be reciprocal and commutative, meaning that all Igbo money and assets in banks outside of Igboland in Nigeria must also be repatriated to Igboland prior to the referendum.
All taxes and natural resources that accrue from Igboland must also cease to go to Nigeria prior to the date.
Also, all non-Igbo must leave all parts of Igboland prior to that referendum.
Finally, all money sent by Igbo citizens abroad must go straight to Igboland and not drop anywhere outside Igboland inside Nigeria prior to the referendum.
There are others, but I can live with the few I cited above.
Once all that is done, your No 5 and 6 points become fair and without malice.
Deal?

5. Understand that secession means every Igbo based all over Nigeria MUST return home to live in Biafra on or before the date set in No 1.

6. Understand what No 5 means is that all Igbos in the Federal and State services in Nigeria MUST forfeit their employment perpetually and return to Biafraland prior to No 7.

This is to let the Igbos across the nation know that you can't eat your cake and have it also.
Your last statement shows that you were very biased in your submission

No wahala!

Ensure you release Nnamdi KANU to so that he can also participate!!!

“Nobody should be trying to discourage Biafrans from leaving Nigeria. We should make sure we are fair to them by making the process bloodless:

1. Pick a date for secession.

2. Draw boundaries for the intended country. I assume it will be named Biafra.

3. Ensure all communities contiguous with or within 10 kilometers radius of the drawn borders agree to be included or excluded.

4. Compile a list of all Igbos all over Nigeria.

7. Conduct a referendum (funded by the protagonists but witnessed by Nigeria and international observers) on whether or not to secede. We must ensure all Igbos have a say in their self determination. No Igbo person should be railroaded into Biafra if they choose to not go. And they can't remain Nigerians if Biafra succeeds.

8. If secession succeeds, Biafra can go without firing one single shot.

9. Biafrans will now have the same status that all other West Africans have with Nigeria. They can only travel to/through or reside in Nigeria according to Nigeria's immigration laws. They can only do business or invest in Nigeria according to Nigerian laws.

10. If secession fails, it has failed forever. Anyone who brings it up again will be charged with treason”

#COPIED.

This is to let the Igbos across the nation know that you can't eat your cake and have it also.

Let's give igbos their own country once and for all. Do they really need to be part of Nigeria? If NO, why is this dragging for this long?

We should use the opportunity of Tinubu's tenure to let Igbos go. The benefits for me are many...

- The value of my passport will go up (we will begin to gradually regain our prestige and respect globally). Many of us can't go to Dubai again because of Igbos.
- The value of the naira will go up - less of imports and more of exports
- More money for us in Southwest from Biafra's use of our ports for shipping
- More money from taxies and levies on Biafrans living in Southwest (Lagos. etc)

Please, let them go today, please!

No, it is NOT implied in your OP. You should have explicitly added it as items on the list.
We Igbo have learned to NEVER trust you people again.
Even the constitution you claim to have is now totally sidelined for a criminal to destroy the destiny of millions of people, all in the name of tribal politics.
You and Igbo are TOTALLY different and irreconcilable.
BTW, why are you adding "let's see which tribe will lose most"? It is totally irrelevant.
Once Igbo leave Nigeria, they cease to be your problem. You can then inherit your el dorado and nirvana without sharing it with Igbo.
Forget about what some illiterates are doing in Igboland. If a referendum is conducted today in Igboland about leaving Nigeria, it would score at least 90+% YES votes.
Lunacy is having to live in darkness for almost seven decades and expecting things to change.
And at every turn when change beckons, you force a criminal to take over again.
So, YES, DEAL. cool
