Finally arrived in Canada yesterday via Egyptsair. Apart from the long time distance it was a smooth journey.

Nigeria experience: I was asked whom I intend to visit. I told her my husband and I had to show his pr card ( I had the printout with me) and marriage certificate because our surname doesn’t tally (I’m yet to do change of name).

Cairo: Only asked reason for visit and his pr card.

Canada: After declaration, I was only asked no of days I want to spend and who I came to visit and that was all.

I met a couple, the husband is a PR, she was told to wait for ircc to complete her online application, Dey can’t issue her work permit. The husband said he knew someone that was given at that same bridge last week. So I’m not really sure, probably it depends on the officer in charge.

Please I will appreciate everyone's input because saying I'm confused is an understatement. IRCC requested for the passports of myself (principal applicant), my husband and son since last year, 2022 April for my PR application. In November they asked for my husband's biometrics which he did and it was updated on my profile. Since November 2022. I have received no response from them till now. I have sent webforms and mails through my agent, yet nothing. I don't know what to think or do. I have used the tracking ID given to check on VFS tracker, it's giving me "the ID doesn't exist". Please anyone can enlighten me on what step to take, I will truly appreciate it. Thank you

Got Passport request letter since June 20, just submitted through carrier to VFS Lagos for my whole family .Just decided to check my IRCC tracker to see the status of the VISA and it has not been updated. What could be happening, Could rejection still happen since tracker is not updated with VISA status. Fear dey catch me now based on the experiences i am seeing here.

This is strange,as a matter of urgency send a mail and Webform to primary office and secondary office processing your application,which is Lagos and London now and explain to them that you did not ask for withdrawal of your application and neither did anyone did on your behalf. Good luck!

Did you apply for another visa before, like open work permit?

This usually happens when you have applied for another visa and they want to approve one. If you did not, wait for the letter they said they will send and send a webform and lay your complain.

Why don't you get your ircc details and check your portal yourself? If you have your details, check the ircc tracker not the vfs tracker. I am not really sure of agents. It's best you do your application yourself. Again, I have concerns that you said ircc requested for your passports meanwhile your husband has not done his biometrics? Just be sure the agent is not playing with you sha.

This is the Address you will mail your documents to:

Documents to go with to the DHL Office:

- Two photocopies of your international passport data page
- Your International Passport itself

Same thing with my daughter’s tracker. Does ot mean the passport has been stamped? It. Has been like that since monday. When you finally chat them, let me know how it goes for

I planned to go tomorrow Friday July 14 only to find out that you must have an appointment to submit your passport. Problem is the earliest date right now is august 9 and by then my 30 days grace period would have expired. What do you advise please ?

Will I be attended to if I show up for submission without an appointment?

Please can I apply for visit visa for my spouse immediately my study permit is approved. While am still in Nigeria

If the brother is sponsoring her 5k cad is fine just to show she’s doing well in naija. If she’s sponsoring herself 10k cad is cool.

Use courier to send it, u don’t need appointment for that.
