Lagos is the only state in south east doing well before of it's former status as the federal capital territory and the federal government's support in building the state. Other south west states are nothing to write home about .

In SS we have great NON-NIGERIAN CAPITAL cities like uyo, portharcourt, benin city.

In SE we have Enugu, Owerri, Nnewi, Awka.

Lagos was built by the Yorubas with the hard earned money from their cocoa farms. The airport and the sea port you are using in lagos today was built by Awolowo with money from cocoa. Yorubas never needed oil money to progress. And we still remain the envy of other nations for a lot of good reasons.
