lexylaw09: I don’t know who the loudest chest beater us between IPOB and Yoruba tribalists, it would be a very close match. Both are always making stupendous claims of greatness. Lagos Island that was never under the Regional Western government was the one Awolowo built with cocoa money? Lagos Island all the way Akpongbon to Tafawa Balewa Square to Ikoyi and Victoria Island was seat of the colonial government from 1914, when Southern and Northern Nigeria was almalgated till 1991 when the capital was noted to Abuja. See Carter Bridge that was built in 1901(first picture). Awolowo must have travelled back in time to build it as Awolowo was born 1906. Second picture is Victoria Island as of 1929 Third picture is Lagos Island in 1935. 1 Share

wirinet:I don't want to use bad words but what are you really complaining about, ok fine federal contribution but during those times Nigerian economy is mainly based on wealth we got from exporting cocoa and also palm oil, all from the western region of Nigeria, you have to understand that the western region is from kwara to Benin ( Bendel state) down to Itshekiri ( delta state) is the real southwest so most of the nations resources was coming from the western part of the country before we discovered oil. ...that's just what I'm saying bro 6 Likes 1 Share |

lexylaw40: Those people wey dey obsessed with Lagos no dey build anything. They will watch while others build, then dey will rise and try to seize what others built. Imagine that liar Ojukwu trying to seize SW, on the pretex of liberating Yorubas. When Azikiwe failed to become premier of SW, he aligned with the North and still failed, they sat down and organize a coup, just to seize the control of the whole country and still failed. And they can't bear to watch others like SW prosper and outpaced them, so they said they want their country, they now want to capture Yorubaland. They said they are going to capture Gowon in Lagos as if they don't know the size of Igbo land. I know they won't give up but unfortunately for them eye don open. Yorubas will eventually return history to our schools so that our children can know those who love them, and those who don't. 4 Likes |

Meanwhile oil was discovered in 1956 and lagos was the capital of Nigeria from 1914 till 1991 when the capital of Nigeria was shifted to abuja, cocoa money was good but couldn't build anything tangible except bthe Cocoa house. Stop being bittered. Nigeria is a mono economy meaning its survival depends on oil which is abundant in the south. This is why the South must be revered. 1 Like |

lexylaw40: Use bad word? Why? You made a claim that Lagos was built by the Yorubas with the hard earned money from their cocoa farms. You pasted pictures of structures in Lagos Island to support your assertion. I bursted your lie bubble by educating you that Lagos (particularly Lagos Island) was indeed built by the British Colonial Government and all the structures you posted was not built by Awolowo, but by the British, and you started threatening bad words. Furthermore Apapa Ports was built by the British Colonial Government in 1919 and Tincan Island Ports was was built by the Obasanjo administration in 1977. Awolowo or the Western Nigerian government did not build any sea port in Lagos. The Lagos Airport later renamed Murtala Mohammed Airport in 1979 was initially built in 1947 during World War II by the British Colonial Government. I honestly don't know the sea port and airport Awolowo built in Lagos with cocoa money. |

lexylaw09:Tell that your tales by moonlight to the monkeys. Lagos was developed by nigeria and nigerians with our collective mineral resources which includes; palm oil and coal from east, groundnuts from the north and later Oil from the eastern region. You liars and propagandists should learn how to stop dishing out all these lies. We are now in jetage we know better now. |

GoodLife4live: If you see the way they were laughing and jeering when the FCT was moved to Abuja. They will say " no more Ragos " Ragos don finish ", many of them left Lagos and this is a fact. We thank God for inspiring a man like Tinubu and Abibatu Mogaji, the mama used to travel to Hong Kong, she said Tinubu should try, that she hope Lagos can be a commecial city like Hong Kong. Today those who followed federal government to Abuja now saying they build Lagos. Ogun ni si nii mu, epe kii sI nii ja, those who habour covetous spirit, always plotting evil for this land, and are never happy to hear any good news about this land, will no longer benefits anything from this land, they will always be put shame because there is no peace for the wicked. Yoruba did not stop any group or tribe from building their homeland, but drag Yoruba down?, ala ti ko ni le se. Eewo. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

GoodLife4live:You sad wasterners are the ones that are so much involved in social media scamming. And for your info, Lagos was not developed by yoruba leaders that is the fact. Yorubas did not develop their region themselves that is another fact. If anybody is in doubt of what am saying, let the person show me any sad waste state that is as developed as lagos, which happened to be nigerian capital territory for many decades before abuja took over. We all know how Abuja was before babangida decided to make it a capital territory. I hope that the gwari tribe who happens to be the owners of abuja will not come out tomorrow (like the yorubas are doing) and start telling us how they developed abuja by themselves. Igboland has never been a baren land and can never be. And this is one of the reasons why the nigerian state dont want Igbos to have their biafra. This lie and propaganda from sad waste that Igbo has no oil in commercial quantity, is one lie that has been over flogged. I dont know why you lots chose to always tell lies through half baked stats. Igboland dont have oil, Igboland is baren yet the nigerian state has refused to let them go. They even fought a war in 1967-1970 to stop the Igbos from seceding. I don't know why sad waste is a land of liars and mischief makers. Tufiakwa! |
