Yes he can. With G5 getting out of PDP, all the votes Atiku got in the North was gotten because he is a Northerner. Whether he is in SDP or AA, he will still get the same vote in as much as he is the only strong Northerner contesting.

If you check Obi well, most of the places he won are either Christian dominated area or Igbo land. That pattern is consistent across the middlebelt too.

He was able to achieve that because other candidate are Muslims so the religious game played well. If Osinbajo or any other Christian had been on the ballot, it will change the game a bit.

Just imagine 3 Christians are on the ballot with one of them running a Christian/christian ticket and only one Muslim like Kwakwanso of NNPP. Don’t you think Kwakwanso will clear most of the Muslim North votes and get 6million at least?

That is why those of us old enough to know politics are telling our brothers from the southeast not to destroy the bridge of friendships they have built with other accommodating tribes like Yorubas and Hausas all because of Obi. This election has come to an end and many a moving on with their lives but the consequences of destroyed relationships may last for decades and will hunt the igbos to get supports when next it is the turn of the south to produce the president.
