Is CHOICE a good market place on Aliexpress?

Choice products are real, with superb price reduction on them. But as attractive as they are, they have hidden caveat attached. That is, in the event of an item not conforming to description, and you decide to file for dispute, you'd be required to return the item before you could be granted a refund.
So, if you must buy these products, make sure you choose wisely.

Lol. He may not be an agent. It's a welcome development that the bank's naira debit cards can now work.
People ehn! As at last week, many people were asking which fintechs is ok! I'm not in a hurry until their rates are well known and favourable (which I'm really doubting) but until then.

Back doesn't necessarily mean cheaper, currently wema is above 900# and chipper is less....like someone said earlier, if things do not get better, VC might still be the cheapest option.
You're very correct. Didn't Access Bank show some of us shege back then?

And if it's not complete, you'll lose the dispute except with an unboxing video showing content from opening till confirmation. Even with a combined package.

You've really hit the nail on the head! How impatient people could be!
For instance, Is it not too early to even start testing Banks' naira debit card on AliExpress when there was no official announcement from those banks indicating that their cards are now provisioned to work on such platform?
People need to calm down!

I have a wema account but I don't have a wema physical card so I made enquiry if their virtual card in the wema app can work. This is their response (check screenshot)...

My experiment/update:

I created the virtual card on Wema Bank app and I was charged N500.

I now went ahead to use the virtual card created on the Wema Bank App to make purchase of $5.32, it successfully went through instantly and I was debited N5,025.12

This means 944.57 per dollar. Costlier but more secure transaction, no deposit & no unnecessary hidden charges.

Thanks for the update sir. We await other sister banks otherwise Fintech would become preferred due to rate.

The same rate the 1st person to transact also said. This means the CC rate differs from actual rate. I think this is too high, higher than even aboki rate.

Alat sent out a mail and a public announcement. How more official do you want it to be. It didn't stop them from charging 953.08 for a dollar.

Their rate is a total rip-off, forget about security! If ordinary $5.32 could go for a sum as high as N5k +, just wait till you have an item of higher amount, say $100, to buy. That's when you'd know that it doesn't make sense.

This is one reason I'd still stick to virtual card for now.

Vesti Wallet. Might be the most useless i have used out of the bunch. Out of 100, works out of 1 and downtime 99 times. Their customer service is zero and once you are able to fund your virtual USD card you cannot move it back to your naira wallet.
lool update on this, so i was finally able to reach out to thier support through live chat on the app and this babe said their virtual card services are down and they don't know when it will be back up, but they have an alternative option and i should drop a number she can reach me on, i obliged and within 5 minutes this babe called and was on about them having a card i can use and it's thier fintech company dollar card they hold in the US, and i was like how will i even see and fund this card, and she said the minimum top up is $10 and i "can't see my balance", if i want to fund the card, i will chat them through the app and they will give me the payment details, and i am like this doesn't sound "fraudulent and cumbersome" at all 😩😩. I just ended with i will get back to you.

Well i don't even blame these Fintechs, the last administration really did throw traditional fx transactions out of whack, and the fintechs, with most likely operating out of a room with a support staff of 3 😩 have to source fx across borders with strict conditions that are ever changing, hence the constant downtimes. The policy of this new administration has made things a bit steep even, No set laws, so both traditional banks and fintechs are running amok with each with its own set of rules, making the choice of using them like the "devil and the deep blue sea", which ever one you choose, you will get burnt and AE is not even ready to provide another payment option for Nigerians because it seem the problem is peculiar to us, I chatted with a seller about the restrictions on our dollar card for FX transactions and the fellow couldn't understand it, like they have this perception that Nigeria is a big African country in population and economic growth that shouldn't be facing such problems.... really really tough months ahead 😔

Omo. But Nigerians dey really endure shit o. The rate at which dollar dey rise and the stressful means we have to go through to obtain it is alarming.

I come go check the last order I made with my GTB naira card. I wanted to know how long it has been since naira cards stopped working and when the government threw all of us into the abyss of misery.

When I checked, I saw it was December I made that order. That's like seven months ago. All these things wey our eyes don see come make am be like say e don reach 5 years.

God help us

Even with the so-called announcement by Alat, some people did testify that they made attempts at payments with their naira card, but were not successful. Read their comments up there!
