This same thing happened on the island part of Lagos - that was why agbadorians were smashed. I must appreciate the Nigerian military for deploying trucks of soldiers to stay with us all the while voting and counting ended around 2am. If not, APC touts would have destroyed everything. But then, elections are over and governance has begun. I have done my best to ensure we have a working country. If the majority say they don't want this country to work, the best bet is to tag along or japa. Pix: At about 10pm, voting was still going on in my polling unit. We waited patiently. 19 Likes 1 Share

The FCT presidential election results are the true representations of presidential elections in Nigeria, for the simple reason that all the tribes and the different political parties are well represented in the FCT. The FCT is not like any of the states where some rogue governors dictate how people should vote. The FCT elections are difficult to rig because no political parties have home/undue advantages over others. The FCT elections are difficult to rig because of the high presence of security personnel in the FCT. The FCT elections are difficult to manipulate because most of the observers are concentrated in the FCT. No wonder a candidate is required to score at least 25% of the FCT votes to be declared winner of the presidential elections. 18 Likes 3 Shares |

richidinho:Exactly what I was discussing with somebody some hours ago. If dis whole thing is about me and my family, I won't get worried with any policy Agbado brings. But when u step 9utside it take a stroll, u will always see people begging u for money or another thing. Dis day, I hardly step out like that. Just go to any buss top in Lagos and see what I'm telling u. D begging has increased to the extent that going to hotel/bar to relax, they will still come and be doing "twale baba" 3 Likes 1 Share |

The reality is that for a mandate thief not to win Abuja or at least get 25% and was declared winner shows how unpopular and unloved the cocaine president is. Abuja is like the neutral ground of Nigeria and you cannot really do rigging in Abuja 3 Likes |

johannu: Stop writing nonsense.. Does fct have mixture of Nigeria more than lagos or kano, rivers? A candidate is not required to score compulsorily 25% in abuja if he can get it from other states.. The framers of the constitution wanted a spread across states and not to have 1 king of the north like kwankwaso have athe popularity in fct, win only fct and a winner of 31 states won't be declared winner just because of 1 king of the north who decides to lock down abuja.. Ndigbo be careful what u r pushing for oooooo... All the 2 b2 kiosk thinking that is not critical... Tomodont come and shout north is always ruling.. Same thing aguiyi ironsi did to the regions.. Una don dey give aboki election power via fct now.. Very mzyopic in my view ooo 1 Like |

Obi didn't get up to 5 percent votes in most Northern states, performed woefully in South West and South South... his "New Nigeria" propaganda didn't go past Lagos and Abuja. |
