There was a transition phase of over a month, that's the period for these assessments you refer to, it's not like it was a transition between oppossing parties, it was an APC-APC transition.

It's almost 2 months since BAT was sworn in, he's yet to announce his ministerial list and even the names flying around as potential ministers under his cabinet shows the man is unserious.

Crying over subsidy removal that people have to a large extent adjusted to is a distraction.
Lmao people have adjusted because you nor see people dey protest?
Do you know how many talks I have to give to people at the office alone just to ensure that they can cope?
And these are people that still earn something oo

I'm only referring back to the subsidy removal because what Tinubu is doing now is catch up. He should never have been in a hurry to remove the subsidy. Secondly, you can't continue to tell the masses to endure while the elite live large. Wahala go shele.

The reason why the price has increased again is because of the exchange rate.

All these are things he needs to consider before making that pronouncement.

More than a month after, we havent even seen anything to show that removing the subsidy was the right decision only for us to see palliative of 500bn for 12m poor citizens and 110bn to NASS and NJC that's less than 500 people.

People will adjust and have to a very large extent, adjusted. There was a time in Nigeria when owning a generator was a signal of wealth, and most families used kerosene lamps or rechargeable lanterns...going back to that phase is no biggie really. Personally I use generators sparingly now; I'm more conscious of how I use power and have embraced public transportation...that adjustment you refer to has happened. It was difficult, but most persons have adjusted.

Tinubu is now at the phase where he's been judged post subsidy removal...crying over the removal of subsidy or when it was removed is at this point a non-issue and detracts from the real issues.
Ok o. Sometimes I hear how much people are being paid as salary and the cost of fuel and other things and the maths is not adding up. From outside looking in, it seems IMPOSSIBLE to adjust to the ever worsening situation. Nigerians are uniquely resilient.

Where are the heavily edited pictures of 001, entourage, helicopter and kingly doings?

There's this sadistic joy I get from seeing them littered on this thread.

It's funny you'd now mention the bolded when there was a candidate that literally ran on cutting down the cost of governance in the last presidential elections. Tinubu has never shown himself to be someone interested in cutting down the cost of governance, it's probably why Raumdeuter is always quick to say politicians making adjustments to their lifestyle will do little to help the country. Tinubu is the let's find a way to make the pie bigger so I and my goons get a larger share type of guy, the public should get a larger share in the process, but he's not in any shape or form interested in shrinking his share of the pie.

Removing the subsidy was objectively the right decision, and removing it two months ago or removing it by the end of this July in my opinion would have made little difference....maybe a phased removal like Peter Obi suggested might have made some difference, but then again we might never know.

1) NNPCL has a price template. The price varies across Nigeria (due to delivery costs)

2) nnpc has fixed the rates it's stations and franchises can sell it's own product.

3) deviations from this are grounds for disciplinary action. I have repeatedly seen different stories in the news and on this platform about higher prices of fuel, but every nnpc in lagos is still selling at 488.

To the best of my knowledge though I would have to enquire, there is no current approval to sell over 600.
I drove pass NNPC retail in my area now and the current price is N568 here in Lagos. It was still 488 as at yesterday evening .

Police should clamp down on any Apc Supporter who tries to protest.

We should be law abiding citizens... We must always pray for the Government to favour us even if it gets to the extent of Landlord kicking out Rabbit.

Where do u get this notion that people have adjusted ? Do u even know how many employed people dey inside their friends and families DM begging for "at all, at all "?

My boss was still lamenting how his friend who is self employed but currently going through difficult times buzzed him over the weekend asking for assistance. The man has 3 kids in Nigerian Universities at the same time; the kids called that they need money for school work and the man is helpless. Do u know what it means for u being employed yet u are unable to cater for ur family's immediate needs ?

My boss eventually sent what he could afford but I told him it won't be enough and the man would most likely have contacted their other friends too with the hope of aggregating whatever he gets, keep some for contingencies and send the rest to the kids whom may get derailed if he doesnt show up for them with the cash.

If u think people have adjusted, just wait till SMES start folding up, people working in small companies will be out of job cos the owner of the business might just sell off their business assets and relocate away from naija wahala while their ex-employees are left jobless. We depend on PMS too much in this country more than u could imagine.

Till date, some bank tellers who are graduate but unfortunate not to have gotten into the bank through graduate trainee still earn around 100k or less.

Lets say he/she lives at Abule Egba and commutes to Obalende on a daily cos he/she certainly can't afford to rent house anywhere close to the island. He/She will spend N800 on transport to the island in the morning and N1,000 back to Abule Egba in the evening. Let's assume he doesnt eat much and spends N1,000 on feeding morning to evening ; that makes it N2,800 he spends on feeding and transport daily multiplied by 22 days which gives N61,600.00 out of N100,000.00 which he/she earns daily.

Where will the N38,400.00 remaining take him ? The N38,400.00 remining when multiplied by 12 will barely pay his house rent on an annual basis .

How this kind person wan take adjust ?

Sorry , I actually thought it was spy that mentioned me ni.

I understand the people don’t trust security operatives to act within their rule of engagements in civilian territories , but I still think military intervention is needed to keep people in the southeast safe from IPOB and their sit at home enforcement
Told you that this was a legit fear.
