Okay. Just do one. How much do you think it will take to fix the electricity problem in Nigeria? Or at least to make a significant improvement.

What would Obi have done differently to the cost of governance that is signed off by legislators?
It’s just like asking what will Tinubu do to increase revenue…. I’m not the one looking at the books.

But one thing is clear, without borrowing but you paid salaries, built a uni from scratch, built hospitals, built the most inter community roads, provided buses to all government schools in Anambra et al while still saving for your predecessor.

That’s unprecedented and you know it, but let’s leave that one aside… election don finish.

I’m still hoping for the best as this is just the first few months 😎

Buhari has borrowed money for subsidy for more than a year, Tinubu could've also borrowed for the next 6 month of the year to properly access the economy as a whole before making that decision to remove subsidy totally.

Before the end of the 6 month, we will have a Cbn Governor, Minister of finance, minister of budget and planning, minister of petroleum also. All these people and ministries would've worked together to come up with a better plan on how to go about all this important decisions.
The sxxt is burning me, but there never will be a good time to remove subsidy in any form. It is like crack cocaine. It would have continued.

The electricity problem is actually slowly fixing itself, at least in lagos.

Lmaoo... If I drive 100km/hr, it will take me 30mins to get to work.
That's how far it is from my home.
Now imagine how long hiking will take😂
You need to get a new apartment. You are driving 100kms daily. Even if your vehicle does 10km/litre, you will spend more than 6k on fuel daily, 120k a month and 1.2m a year assuming you only go to work 5 days a week.

If you add 500k or even 1m to your current rent, it should be enough to get a place close to your office.

I have not even considered the effect on the car itself and the expenses that will come along with it. Not to mention the stress self

Lmaoooo... If wishes were horses.
I have to also consider where my wife works the few times she goes to work (thank God for hybrid)
Also sadly, access to other parts of Lagos is a major consideration for me and places closer are not as cheap while they experience traffic and bad road to navigate with your car

Nothing is slow-fixing as regards electricity jor, it's not much better than it was 3 years ago. Lagos largely has better electricity than most other parts of the country so there's that, but other than that there's been no significant improvement in electricity in the part of the state I reside for example. There are periods where it's good, and periods where it's not so good but largely it's okay.

Electricity tends to be decent this time of the year, by the time it gets to those October-February periods, it'd be somewhat skeletal, then start picking up from March again, same cycle year after year.

Lol, when the thing reach 1500/litre, you will find a way to adjust 😂. E never hit you yet

I be dey give plenty excuses like you but I had to find a solution that may not be 100% perfect but at least, much better.

I believe Tinubu has assessed the economy enough while in transition. He took this decision with his full chest and will own the outcome of it

It is a tough decision because fuel prices will always follow international oil prices and exchange rates but all those we are assessing will make the debt continue to balloon

Now I heard the allocation to State govts have increased significantly, that is the closest to the people hold their shirts
Exactly, enough of infantilizing presidents with talks of I dunno who's advising Tinubu cheesy, X and Y is laying traps for him cheesy or an Emewiele regen is deceiving Tinubu. These guys applied for a job and they should be held responsible for things happening under their admin. You can't have a transition within same party only to come out and start crying that Tinubu should have chilled to see things for himself before making decisions...what they hell was the transition period for then?

Tinubu will be judged not for removing fuel subsidy or removing it when he did, but for managing the removal of fuel subsidy...anyone trying to nail him to the cross for removing fuel subsidy either didn't understand fully what their man was about or they're being disingenuous because PO and Atiku as well promised to remove fuel subsidy.

I'm honestly confused.
How tf is this thing rising?
At what rate is cbn printing money?

I know the argument. Rainy season Kainji dam is 760 mw. How far do you think 760 mw goes?

The reason as I have said repeatedly that power is slowly improving is the liberalization of the sector. If you have a power station in your state, you will get better power, as the station can now deliver directly to the disco without going through the national grid.

We have a bad feeder pillar in my location. It keeps having issues. Other wise we would have much more reliable power. As it is they are building a new substation by our place. Possibly once that is done we may not have a lot of these failures.

There are ways to increase revenue but the cost of governance is encoded in laws passed that the legislative arm. Unless the president decides to go against the house which will retaliate by not passing any bill including budgets. The house also put their own package as part of the budget so you ether don't sign the budget or you sign with their baked in bonuses

Like you said leave those bold for campaign lamba. Cos na that time doctors dey strike for over a year in Anambra, Na that time Anambra residents dey complain about poor roads and praying for Ngige to come back cos na Ngige roads dem dey enjoy. Soludo the current gov said all alleged investment are worth nothing. Everything about Obis admin in Anambra has been shown to be a scam from those who know which are the 2 people who succeeded him

Raumdeuter u campaigned and clamored support for Tinubu and APC at a time when we were still reeling from the colossal failure of Buhari’s administration . You professed ur belief that Tinubu was coming to apply the balm of Gilead at a time we were trying to heal from the misery Buhari unleashed on this nation.

There’s no harm in campaigning for ur candidtate and actually relishing in the sweetness of his eventual victory at the polls.

But permit me to ask , would it hurt ur ego so bad to just admit Tinubu made a wrong call with the subsidy removal , floating of naira and the attendant problem happening before our own eyes ? Just look at Larride calling a spade a spade and not oversized spoon for feeding baby dinosaurs .

Egbon e pity wa now ! Edakun 🙏

With liberalization, most of it will be fixed. What was happening was the market is right beside your house, but you have to go on a long journey on a bad road to get to the same market. Because it was the law.

Now you can go directly into the market.

Already in lagos, there are people who get 15 hours of light a day. The bulk of the problem for industrialized states was the national grid which was always having system collapse. The system collapse will also reduce because states like lagos, port Harcourt, ogun will no longer be on the grid. So less stress on the infrastructure.

You clearly don’t like Obi which is your choice but what he did are verifiable facts grin

A video of pained APGA chieftain saying he left 185 billion in debt na garbage…Those guys squandered Anambra security vote and when compared to how Obi spent his… they started throwing shiit around.

You think Anambra borrowed up to 185 billion lol… How much is a bigger state like rivers owing?

There were contracts sugned but not yet paid for which then falls under accrued debt… doesn’t mean you borrowed and squandered the money lol

Some of us are not dishonest folk.

The Nigerian people already passed a referendum on Subsidy removal by voting overwhelmingly for the top 3 candidates. Because they all promised to remove susbsidy if they are elected.

The only Presidential candidate that took a different stance was NNPP kwankwanso. If you had wanted to continue enjoying subsidy, Kwankwanso is the guy you should have voted for .
