The Offer is so juicy that he had to resign such a good job. Why can't Government work be 100% volunteering basis? And also part time basis? I thought they are to SERVE?
Exactly!

I think his reason for resigning could be more than the committee. He's probably one of the yet to be announced ministers. Cos committees can be dissolved at any moment.

Political government positions or role are not permanent and I think the law should make it clear. That's why somebody that served eight years as a governor would digress again to take a Ministerial position and from there to Senate. This is why the country is neither going forward nor improving because we are just rotating same old brain and old ideas.

Government political position is not a career. It's a service.

I just hope he is not making a mistake of a life time, just what if this flawed election that brought in Tinubu is nullified in the court and a 'new sheriff comes to town',he is sure going to lose both jobs.
After working over 20 years with the same company what is there to really miss. I wish him the best in his new adventure

Who says its about remuneration? Don't you think having this position on his CV will open him up for rapid career advancement?

For example his next stop could be a senior position in a Bretton Woods institution.

As partner in PwC he will already be wealthy by Nigerian standards but getting such a career appointment is huge.

If you are told that the election that produced Tinubu' presidency would be nullified by any babalawo and you too believed, honestly, you're both living in the past.

.....and in the event of eventuality, this guy in not an up-and-coming professional, goggle his profile and see facinating and intimidating credentials, he dictates where he works and how much he collects as salary.

He is a big fish.

A technocrat and hard boiled professional who is good at what he does in his chosen profession does not have such issues. Mama NOI was in Nigeria as FinMinister for a while and is back to the World stage now and doing good. Akniwunmi who was AgriMinister is now at afdb and secured another tenure despite the stiff opposition of mighty USA who wanted him out apparently for focusing on helping Africa get real development.

Good one you resigned
It is because you are locally based. Try Europe and America and see tax.

He can always go back to the firm. Besides, the probability that election will be annulled is almost nil. The obidogs are clowning at the court lol

Not in Nigeria! Spending one month in the job will give him 25 years return from PWC. He is going to set up his tax consultant company and become a multibillionaire in few months
