Most times i just marvel at how you guys go about blabbing on something you know nothing about.

If you are an engineering graduate you blab this rubbish.....you think construction of a refinery is like road construction??

Do you know how many test run have to be done just to ascertain the equipment.

The the inauguration was a political yes but that doesn't mean the refinery isn't ready to produce.....it is already producing fertilizers and other by product and only the pms, diesel and kerosene line that yet to kick off.

There something called test run after construction of plants.....you have to test run equipment repeatedly to check very well cos if production start fully it be difficult to start repairing....you have to shut down production which will cost time and money to repair.

I worked in dangote cement ibese ogun state and to the glory of God I was part of the team of site engineers(mechanical dept) who constructed line 4,5 and 6 inside the plant along side sinoma, Indians and germans.

Some of My ex colleagues are still working with dangote and they are part of the team working the in refinery (most the Civil engineering guys) and I can boldly say the refinery will start producing at 50% capacity by ending of this month and projected to hit full capacity by late August.

In asmuch most of you are so blinded with hate and doesn't wish this country well but atleast stop blabbing about things you know nothing about.
You are saying rubbish confidently 😂

So how can you sell something that is produced locally the same price as what is been imported . What about the cost of transportation and import duties something is rough somewhere or we are not been told what is going on
This is the gist. FGN exports crude oil in exchange for dollars. In order to continue to meet up with dollar commitment,FGN needs to collect same from Dangote. But if FGN decides to collect naira from Dangote, prices of PMS will go down

Lol

An expert assessment of the level of work done in the refinery before the sakamanje that they called inauguration, said that the earliest time Dangote Refinery will start producing fuel is first quarter of 2024 (between January and March next year).

I stand by that report as I do not see it as an unbiased reportage meant to harm Dangote Refinery but simply a report that captured facts as they are.

In a sane world, a company will start production before it is inaugurated.

But in Nigeria, a company was inaugurated, and months after, it’s yet to start production and idiotic fools are defending it.

Why was Dangote Refinery inaugurated if it wasn’t ready to start refining?
Brother if you ask me, na who I go ask? Buhari should have been tied to a stake and burnt alive. Imagine the impunity the fool supervised for eight years. How about the nigeria air?

Thank you for this clarification.

But I need clarify something, and that is that I do not wish to see Dangote Refinery fail. Why would I?

I only made allusion to a report that what based on factual and rational assessment of the level of work done at the refinery as of then. But now you are bringing a counter to that report and I’m going to tentatively accept it as true and wait until ending of August to see what happens.

But I still insist, if Dangote knew that further test runs were required before the refinery goes up on stream, why inaugurate?

In a normal parlance, those who went for that inauguration would have had the chance of having their tanks filled with fuel from the refinery.

I can only liken what they did to Sanwolu’s inauguration of the Blue Light Rail and 7 months on, it’s still not in use.

Like I said earlier the inauguration was political hence the rush........is just the same with the blue light rail.

Test running takes months and is very possible you detest a failure that will need major repair and i guess that what happened with the light rail.........just that our govt aren't sincere.

By now the lagos state govt should tell us what causing the delay.

Cos I could remember there a machine called limestone 0reclaimer.....it uses rail line too and when we did test runs we found out the failure was way above the -5 and +5.

It wasn't funny cos inauguration was just 3weeks away........we had to work day and night to fix it. The whole rail line was broken cos the bot were to long and reconstructed.
So that the part of the problem with construction of plants.

Calm down. Dangote is the least of your worries. Petrol is not a monopolistic product. His fertiliser plant has more value than even the petrol
You are not even making any sense with your point.

If you ordered a car from Innoson and they delivered it to you but you found out that you can’t hit the road immediately because there still further test runs that need to be done to certify the vehicle roadworthy and efficient.

2 months later and you still can’t drive the car because they are trying to subject it through rigorous cross checking and all.

Would you take this excuse you have offered here from them?

Did you read were I stated the govt aren't sincere??
The blue line rail is still going through test run and not fully operational yet but the haste to inaugurate is for political reasons.

In regards of dangote refinery......next week is July ending, just relax

Let see what happens by then.

Both projects shouldn’t have been inaugurated if they were not ready to come on stream.

Or do you have instances (in a saner clime of course) where things are done this way?
