The problem with most of these self-acclaimed "award-winning" nonentities is that they do not understand what international law and best practices say about immigration in general; and about asylum-seeking in particular. You cannot land in a country to seek protection only to move to another because you prefer that third country. A bit of education and/ enlightenment

A tourist brings in money and creates one or two jobs; be it dog walking or waiter....its still a job. The immigrant wants to compete with the hungry and under-skilled local for that job, and the immigrant will not mind getting a quarter of the local minimum wage or even less. This is upsetting to any local labourers because now they have to compete on their way down on the food chain; this creates resentment against migrants. So tell me, why would a black SA who is working for a good company , or government institution in SA sell his or her properties or take a loan to go to the west when we already have or enjoy what they enjoy over there ; similar middle class neighbourhoods, infrastructure, malls, holiday spots , chilling spots etc ? How is the life of an average Western middle class citizen better better than ours? The only benefit they have over us as black SA middle class is the ability to tour the world without visas and the respect * they enjoy in other countries and continents as the white race ( they earned it though, yes even with brutality and theft, they showed us all how to take them seriously ).

The only black SA who will travel to these countries after taking loans or selling off properties are those with guarantees on the other side ( recruited by a multinationals that they work for here like those in Germany who came from the likes of VW or Mercedes Benz etc. ) . They have jobs waiting for them and accommodation in proper neighbourhoods sorted for them even before leaving .

We don't engage in the moronic behaviour of uprooting our lives to move into unknown zones all in the name of adventure. Our version of adventure is getting our visas ( pretty easy with our untainted passport ) and going to enjoy our holidays in different parts of the world ( quietly) and then coming back without troubling our host communities ( too much to ask for from a certain breed of Africans ofcourse ).
