Na broom we go use sweep una 2 away
Our midfield should be partey declan and odegaard
Kaikai should go and fight up front
Lol

That's the second option

First option is Rice, Havertz and Odegaard

The good thing is that we have depth. Strong depth.

I don't think so. I think it's because of Tierney that he brought Timber. Tierney cannot play the inverted role but is very good going forward. So Timber will play as the inverted fullback.

That Timber self is very versatile as he can even push forward into attack. He should be our best signing based on what I saw early this morning. Tomiyasu should go and find rag to clean his bench as he will spend a lot of time there.

What i know is with our current defense we can play 4 man defense and 5 man defense comfortably
Same with the midfield
I am saying this because arteta doesn't have excuse
The good thing about this transfer is we are getting our first choice not second

Arteta on Havertz: "He gives us something different. his height for example where he can be a target man if we need to beat the press. He’s playing at CAM for now but I’m sure throughout the season he’ll be used in different positions."

(Kaya Kaynak).

At this point, can y'all put just a little respect to spy's name grin
First half wasn't what I expected, especially considering the starting xl. So I slept off midway into it.

Good morning to y'all.
Thanks for the mention 🙏🏼

That's just it. No excuses. He needs to bring in either the PL or the CL. Anything less is a failure now.

This team is good enough for any good coach. And besides I think other teams are weakened one way or the other except us and Man United.

No vex o, but if what Timber played yesterday is his normal (remember that he has not even blended with the likes of Saka, Saliba, Jesus etc) then no way for Tomi, unless he reinvents himself.

If I hear. Guardiola that already got the two best Croatia players after not named Modric Already.

Don't be deceived, that Guardiola don already strengthen his squad ahead of everybody else and he's still not stopping

Can kovavic do what gungogan was doing
In rice we also got one of the best CM in england
Don't forget we didn't lose any key players yet and he might still lose bernado

Lol. Cos of yesternight, you dey underrate Tomi? Same Tomi that Arteta loves to play in a tactical setup that eases Partey's role? Abi you have forgotten so soon? Yasu will start on UCL night, this one sure.

Lolz.

You are missing the point. Mahrez and Gundogan are 32 year old players Guardiola need to let go in order to bring equally talented but younger players to replace them. They still have other good players on their books who are still under contract, so it's no doubt Guardiola still possess the strongest team in the league irrespective of who will leave or has already left.

But the same 32 years old were so important for him to win the treble
Gungodan was important for the fa cup victory while Mahrez was all round better than grealish enroute to the UCL victory too
They lost 2 very good squad players so it's still a defect

Dey play! Didn't he sell Cancelo after he helped him win the league and got Akanji that helped him win treble playing almost everywhere along the backline?

If Guardiola is letting a player go, he's not doing that to have a weak team to manage, he's doing that to bring in more quality players to help him go a step further.

You don't expect him to play exactly like Timber. Variety is the spice of life. There are some aspects where Tomi is better too. You don't have to underrate Tomi. Moreso, today's match was a friendly.

I no go lie chief, you get point about Pep. However, their midfield may not be the same again. Even their attack is weak now going by the depth. I wouldn't conclude yet sha because window never close.

It's not underrating but comparison. Tomi will really need to reinvent himself to upstage Timber. I speak from experience.

To think na you dey calm us down when we signed Jorginho. grin grin

Relax, Kai will come good. I'll gladly swallow my L if the reverse happens.
I hope and pray Kai comes good.

It was easier to defend Jorg cos if you look beyond Chelsea fans complain and watch him without the lens of Chelsea fans, you'll see that he's not really a bad player the way they made him out to be. I knew how many times I drew their attention to some of them esp Ibi.me and Popi concerning the good games he played (Like I personally watched Jorg in Chelsea just to see why he's been scapegoated for all losses) and they'll give one excuse or the other. The most prevalent was that he normally plays good against small team which in a broader sense it isn't bad at all(except na agenda). That's why even though I was angry we signed him at first, I later calm down to analyse things and found out that he won't be bad as a deputy since we'll be meeting most small teams and it's also a short term contract

I did same thing for Havertz but it was the opposite. He hardly impressed me in a match and his overall play was very poor. I personally look at overall play to judge a player and not team's result. Havertz is always found wanting in the overall play and the number of good- to-outstanding performance can be counted in one hand.

I've read all the comments here and aside the goal he scored, nobody seemed to even review Havertz performance. Even newboy Timber don dey get review.

I'll really be disappointed if we don't compete to carry the league this season. I'm expecting a 3 way battle with us, Man city and Liverpool to compete for the league. Also, we need to carry a cup

For all of Arteta's progress, it's disappointing that he doesn't give our youth a chance. In fact, none of our academy can say they're making the squad through him.

There's no reason why Duberry shouldn't make the team last night. It's really really disappointing

You're underrating Pep sha.

Pep will sign players and even if he doesn't, he'll still use these places effectively while bringing in young players from the academy.

That's how they were saying he'll miss David Silva until he unleashed Foden.

One thing is certain, Man city can never be weaker with Pep at the helm
