My friend shut up. If had it been it was drug running now, you know how you will be dragging him. Who start war when Yorubas attain feats when we have been blazing the trail from antiquity?

When igbos became the first and second vice chancellors of Nigerian universities, they were accused of high crass nepotism and attempt to dominate schools in the south west, today igbos are now the first black vice chancellors of UK universities and it is not going down well with some Nigerians

I really don't know what is wrong with you guys. Is he not an Igbo man?

At the mention of Igbos inferiority complex will kick in among you guys. It's really bad.

Anyways, we owe nobody any apology.

Around independence, Igbo professors became vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan and Lagos, Yorubas started crying of tribalism. Meanwhile, during that period, Britain was still in control of most institutions in Nigeria. They did their appointments based on merit. That era also was the period when every institution in Nigeria was working perfectly. Out of bigotry and envy, they introduced tribalism. Brought in quota system and everything deteriorated.

Countries that go for the best like UK, US, Canada etc regardless of their origin always prosper.

I watched Professor Charles Egbu speak with his Nigerian accent and I was proud of him. But this Professor David Uzo Mba looks like a white man.

Anyways, I am glad that the West is increasingly giving black people the opportunity to reach the pinnacle of their careers. To those who are pro-Russia and China, we hope to see those countries they support do the same.

Till date , they have not forgiven professor Kenneth Dike for becoming the first Nigerian vice chancellor of university of Ibadan.

Yorubas should come and blame Nnamdi Azikiwe the way they wail everyday about igbos becoming first VC in UI and UNILAG.

Universities were owned by regional governments until Ironsi's Unitary government siezed all universities and made them federal property. Both UI and UNILAG were 100% controlled by Western regional governments when Igbos became their VCs. Yet they blame Nnamdi Azikiwe. It's like blaming the president for the VC of a state university in this present Nigeria

If the petty jealousies can be jettisoned, this undeniably gifted people can lead Nigeria and indeed Africa out of the doldrums

When A bike Dabiri was stating that igbos make up 90% of Africans in Asian jails... they said she should have said Nigerians and not Igbo....

Here we are, I see the whole world now knows the hypocrisy of the igbo man

Peter Obi is a Nigerian and qualified to rule Nigeria but we have a better hand to do the job in Tinubu for now. We should stop seeing everything from ethnic perspective.

The truth is that where we wish to be depends on how we see it.
I would say address people, in this regards, by the passport they carry. But if it is tribe-based that makes you happy, then by all means.

Also the education minister is Igbo. It happens that the VC for Unilag wasn't even a professor hence the thought of nepotism. They were the only two federal universities in Nigeria then.
