If the petition was intended to recover a judgement sum against the respondent, then it has to be registered. This however, is a case where the petitioner simply intends to rely on the judgement of a foreign court.

A party who intends to rely on the judgement of a foreign court has to do one of two things:
a. Seal the judgement with the seal of the foreign court (which is what Obi's legal team did)
b. produce a copy certified by the legal keeper with a certificate or of a notary or of a consul or or a diplomatic agent stating that the copy is duly certified by the officer.

It is that simple, please.

INEC was subpoenaed to produce them. They didn't. So as far as the tribunal is concerned, they do not exist. Speeches can not displace evidence.

But they didn't so as to frustrate the petition, and in so doing, their own CTC of results from IREV is now enough to show that they didn't comply substantially with the guidelines.

Over 7m votes are under question now.

If the court determines that BAT is not qualified to run, then they have to force a rerun without him. If they don't, then there will be a rerun with him in it. Whatever the case, there is a big question mark on the process.

I think LP's strongest point is their argument that the election didn't confirm to existing laws. They also used data well by showing over voting in 39k polling units across the nation with accredited voters of over 5mil. Electoral law 2022 says over voting should be cancelled so how did INEC return the 2nd respondent when you take into cognizance the margin of lead.
