I don't think you checked the link I added for your perusal from US Department of justice official website which explains the 3 types of forfeiture practiced in US law.

2019 and 2023 situations are not comparable at all.

Peter Obi applied to INEC according to law to obtain those CTC forms from INEC and also paid for them but INEC knowing that releasing those forms to Peter Obi will expose their rigging decided not to release them to Peter Obi and claimed that Peter Obi was asking for nonexistent forms, that Obi should apply to each of the contested state INEC REC to get the forms. If Obi decides to follow this route, it would take forever to get these forms to prove he won at the PEPT which has a timeline, so to avoid delays, his legal team decided to make a swift turn to focus on challenging INEC for not following their own election guidelines during the election and in announcing Tinubu as winner hence the election should be canceled completely, which is one of the major reasons election should be canceled according to electoral act; if INEC's none compliance with the electoral laws and guidelines affects the outcome of the election substantially.


Also Obi is also challenging Tinubu's legitimacy to contest the election being an ex convict who forfeited $450,000 to US government in a drug related case.

You cannot use non legal assumptions for legal cases as legal experts guard their professions jealously.section 28 of the constitution states that all Nigerians and places have equal voting rights and no one is superior to another.the interpretation act clearly states that an earlier provision of the constitution supercedes a later one if there's any contradiction.therefore section 28 supercedes whatever 134 is saying.
Now,the court have stated that in the case of ambiguity,they will always use the most meaningful,reasonable,sensible construction as the lawmakers do not intend chaos or confusion.counting Abuja as a state is the most sensible reasoning here.you can see from the body language of these judges,you saw their tone on how they attacked pdp and lp indirectly in shettima nomination matter.they will thrash the fct matter

I am the most open minded and liberal apc fellow here.let me give you an example of a watertight case.the lp vs mbah case.nysc testified against mbah and mbah couldn't rebut it.he had to get DSS to help but the nysc testimony stands and he is going.that is what obi should have done by bringing solid evidence not speculations and media noise.
Tinubu might have forged documents or personality during his younger days but he covered his tracks well and there is no concrete proofs,just clues that leads to nowhere.forgery is a criminal case and must be proven totally beyond doubt.obi and atiku failed to do this.since obi people are also saying criminal forfeiture is what tinubu is,they must prove it beyond doubt
