Forty-eight hours to the public presentation of the composition of the various standing committees of the National Assembly, there is discontent at the way the exercise has been handled in the two chambers of the federal legislature.https://leadership.ng/nass-furore-as-lagos-reps-pick-4-juicy-committee-chairs/

The way the legislature is going, I see betrayal and shift of loyalty. There will be a lot of disgruntled senators especially from the northern folks and boom, we'll eventually have the N-APC folks among the legislators. |

Lagos contributes the highest into the federal purse so let them constitute the highest too. |

I remembered the question once asked, WHO IS THE PRESIDENCY? The regime us taking all the spoils. Don't know why the Executive must always be mentioned in the affairs of the legislature. Six weeks break for what? After spending huge billions. The role of the NASS is yet to be well defined. Is that how the Executive and Judiciary go on incessant breaks? |

In all the lengthy gibberish, they could only mention two lawmakers from Lagos who were proposed to head defense and house service. I mean, defense and house service and they made the title about Lagos. The juiciest committee in the house are : Appropriation Public Accounts Finance Works Petroleum Niger Delta Telecommunications Customs Etc. None of the above is going to Lagos but the irresponsible press with an agenda is trying to make everything about Lagos because the president is from Lagos. |

all they know is fight fight fight for their pockets and not anything to benefit the common man. Infact, let them fight to stupor. They are all mad. Juicy committee as if it is for the benefit of anyone outside the house. No be to share money for them? |

It is your turn Yoruba, maximize it while it's late, when the previous president did it, all the cry or shout felt into a deaf ears. So Emilokan use it well. |

When we warned that the Buhari administration was setting an irreversible precedence, they all claimed its who he can work with... well, we are here now. The North can't complain, which is why it seems like the SE/SS is the major opposition.. another bad precedence is being set, the SE and SS has stopped complaining about skewed positions, the North would soon stop, then its only a matter of time before an all out anarchy breaks out... respect equity, it was there for a reason.. |
