As it stands, govt isn't the one increasing and decreasing petrol prices any longer. It the market forces but with a twist to it. It is called the Nigerian market forces or corrupt middlemen syndrome.

There is a risk of mass protest of this is true
Nigerians hardly protest thats why the Government in Nigeria are so bold to take such drastic decisions..

A politician once told me that Nigerians are empty barrels who just make noise on social media for some few days and afterwards tolerate whatever is thrown at them

I hope the price continues to increase so high so much that gas as an alternative will be embraced fully in this country. While our crude will be mainly for exportation.

Am glad we have a few number of big foreign investors in the gas sector right now. I hope there will be more of them very soon. We sincerely need a gas revolution.
don't mind some idiots who don't have business in petrol stations wailing about price of fuel.the OP doesn't even sound like someone who has a car or generator.

Eyya, I can see you probably have issues with car owners bearing the brunch of the rising fuel price. May God bless you with a car someday, Amen!
