If this list is true, then forget this administration nothing good can come out of this government.

Majority of the people up there are full time politicians, all they will be interested in is to steal and go and use the loot to play politics in their respective states.
Talking naively, because to you, so called politicians are not technocrats?

Because their professions before they delved into politics was political science?

If this list is true, then Tinubu is preparing more for rerun than for governance.

All I see here are people who would help him garner votes in their respective states should there be a rerun.

I can’t see a single technocrat.

And I can’t see the guy that resigned from GAVI because he’s waiting to be appointed minister.
And on what grounds will there be a Re- run, who triggered it ? you just like false hope or ?

Since when did Ministerial list become a spot for technocrat, we all know ministerial list is majorly use to compensate politicians

the bright side is we have technocrat special advisers surround the presidency
Re: Ministerial List To Be Announced By Senate (full List) by SledgeHammerer: 4:23pm On Jul 26, 2023
Technocrat wey want appointment must work for the victory of his appointor. Monkey nor fit work make bamboo go chop.

If this list is real, it shows that Dr Pate has been dropped and that's a cheering news for me.

We don't need any medical doctor with parochial interests as minister of health. This is because of their penchant to always align with NMA to subjugate other healthcare professionals in the health sector thereby denying Nigerians quality healthcare.

Healthcare is a team work just like you have different organs in the military viz army, airforce and navy all working towards protecting the country's territorial integrity and defending her from external aggressors. In a similar manner, the different healthcare professionals should work as a team defending the citizens of a country from diseases with no professional group lording over the others!

We need independent leadership of the ministry of health and all the government-owned healthcare institutions. People who are not medical doctors but other non healthcare professionals should take over leadership of the sector, especially those with post graduate qualifications in healthcare administration. Even if they don't have such qualifications, they can simply understudy the American healthcare system and replicate same here for optimum performance.

If the above is not done, NMA in connivance with physician health ministers will continue to undermine government's efforts towards revamping our healthcare system with their unnecessary fight against other professionals.

There's a reason why the developed countries have non-physicians managing their health sectors! Let's do same in Nigeria.
This is an interesting point of view. I have never heard from the side of the healthcare professionals but this point of view makes sense.

So what kind of professional do you prefer? Lawyer, administrator or who?

In the west, there are professional healthcare administrators but since we might not have got much of that in Nigeria, other professionals like lawyers, public administrators or people with any other qualifications aside medical and healthcare can be appointed especially those that have worked in healthcare organizations such health insurances management organizations.

Such people may simply have to understudy how heathcare institutions are managed in the developed countries like the USA and replicate same here in Nigeria.

Engineer Aisha Binani couldn't clinch the Gubernatorial victory, but made the "proposed" Ministerial list

Guess she's been destined to still remain politically relevant.

She might eventually win the next Guber election. cheesy

RMK was in APC before he left for NNPC.

Besides, he's still APC at heart, he has several affiliations with APC politicians, especially BAT.
