University staff strikes in the U.K have left students in limbo, as many cannot take up job offers or progress to postgraduate study, and international students whose visas are coming to an end may have to return home due to challenges with receiving degree certificates among others.

It is only those staff who are involved in marking assessments that are on strike, not the entire staff!

Moreover most UK Universities are on summer break for many who joined this January while those who are doing one year Masters, that joined last September are presently in their last trimester where they don't attend lectures but are at home or at the library, working on their dissertation.
