Sentiments aside, 95% of we Nigerians are facing severe poverty. I swear, our leaders have pafuka this country. Companies are sacking their staffs day in day out, many people in transportation cannot eat of today because all their money is taken away by fuel, generators repairers are out of business, mechanics workshop are empty, people are now willing to sell their cars and no one to buy it.... Nigeria is tough seriously... Many cooperate beggars everywhere.

I hope hunger and starvation will not wipe us away from the surface of the earth.

What can they do? These are states with an endemic toxic and destructive culture of corporate begging from the community level.

In the height of militancy I was stationed in the region in bayelsa to the precise , I worked in community liaison and visited all these states deeply and intimately related with communities and I can tell you that the foundatuional ideology from the home setting in the Niger delta is flawed. And breeds criminals not good focused youths.on paper they tell you that they are traditionally fishermen. That's a farce.

The youths have been raised by a wolf tradition by their forefathers encouraging begging and holding IOCs and other multinationals in the region hostage to feed them

A culture that encourages under aged drinking and immorality.

A culture that encourages drunkenness and wild unchecked behaviour .

A culture of unmarried pregnancy with a 90% population made up of fatherless children

The traditional beliefs that make up the major ethnic groups is very weak in the Niger Delta state
It's very common to find an unmarried girl of say 22 having 2 kids from different men living in her father's house and it is not frowned upon at all
I saw countless cases of incest patricide and such which is called a community affair .


The culture is ruthless retrogressive savage and destructive

Until the issues in the Niger Delta are addressed from a foundational point the entire south will continue to witness an endless supply of willing criminals easily used as kidnappers robbers assassins etc

What do you mean by hostile to investors, they also hostile to syringe factory or Ibom Air also? or to audio factory Udom claim he built?

Udom failed in Human Capital Development, &that's the fact! The result is what we are seeing today after 8years.

As a financial expert he claims to be, he cannot draw up a plan to empower the people via Micro credits Schemes to do business, not everybody will work in coconut farm or factory.

Oga shut up, this is not about surplus era, you employed a driver to drive you from Lagos to Abuja and gave him money to fill the tank, the driver ate the money and bought a few litres and you did not know, while on the journey he then tells you the fuel is about to finish at just quarter into the journey, you got angry with him and sacked him there on the journey and got another driver and gave him money again to buy full tank, the new driver did the same and continued the journey with the almost empty tank, this time the car parked you both on the road.

Question:
Who would you blame for parking you both on the road, the first driver or the second one or both?

Show us the comparative index gathered, which national data records are you implying, please keep Akwa Ibom away from this nonsense, who told you Akwa Ibom population is 5.4million abeg park well or still get a better thing to do, common census we cant get it right for decades and here are you doling out figures at will, shame on you and your rubbish statistics.

There was no deliberate attempt to empower the indigenes, he purposely impoverished the people for 8years so he can gives hand out to voters to help vote his Stooge, Pastor Umo Eno.

Simple single digit Loans for small or medium scale businesses, etc was not there, no bursary, no Scholarship to indigent students studying in Tertiary Institutions, his Commissioners &other appointees were not even helping matters, they complained lack of money pass pesin wey no get privilege, primary school teacher retirees own worst, local contractors were owed, LG Council Chairmen do not have access to their FG allocated funds so therefore money wasn't in circulation in the hinterlands& rural areas these and many more contribute to multidimensional Poverty-stricken people of Akwa Ibom State.
What's the point building super infrastructure with the huge Monthly allocations, good IGR, borrowed money as well without building the people simultaneously.

We need a Governor that will holistically reduce poverty by initiating people-oriented programmes, Human Capital Development, Micro credits support, contract awarded to competent locals by so doing money will be in circulation, even someone who manages a kiosk will sell his or her goods cos there will be purchasing power.
