Note; Tinubu is the former Governor of Lagos state and Osun state as he state of origin as people as claimed. Nobody is talking now.

Core professionals that are less or not involved in politics.people that are more into professions other than politics like Dr Doris anite

My guy I think we over emphasize this “technocrat” matter as Nigerians. Shagari was minister of education, finance, internal affairs, commerce, works, pensions amongst others….what was his qualification…..he was a teacher…..no degreee..no private sector expertise…,

,teacher training certificate that’s all!!

My opinion is that Nigerian technocrats tend to be disappointments in governance. Speak too much English, unrealistic western mindset and impractical copy Oyinbo all the time ideas that tend to fail. People like Fashola are exceptions and if you think about it, Fasshola’s performances both as governor and minister have nothing to do with his profession…law.

If you look at the ministers in the Uk and the Secretaries of State in the US, they are overwhelmingly career politicians….rewards for political effort….jobs for the boys. Joe Biden, Tony Blair for example are career politicians who have never had proper jobs in their lives outside politics.

The only positions where you need strictly a “technocrat” is attorney General….and possibly finance but people like Malami have shown even that is not enough. The other positions what you need is intelligence to understand the issues and sincerity. They can and do employ “technocrat” advisers to help them.

I’m not against technocrats per se just saying we tend overate technocrats. IMHO technocrats should be DGs, advisers, directors, working under the cover of the politicians.

For me what will determine the success of Tinubu’s administration is the formulation of a master plan. The reason why people want technocrats is because there really hasn’t been a focused master plan for past administrations. When you have a master plan m, it really doesn’t matter who the minister is…, the roles, functions and goals of your ministry are defined under the master plan irrespective of who is minister.

My 2 cents.

Look at this boy.is minister of works a small place? Works has a budget of 500 bil,fct has less than 200 bil.as a senator, you may not see 1 bil a year but a minister can see 1 bil monthly.as a senator you are limited unlike a minister son

The appointment got to her because she is an APC member not because she done anything exceptional in her career.

until i see people like Barth Nnaji, dora akunyili. amina mohammed, Ngozi Iweala etc on that list, then i will rate the list.
for now, they are all politicians

So minister is ordinary??

Well, I just told you how it'd been done. A serving senator once left senate to be a deputy governor.

During obj , A serving rep left the house to be minister of State....

JDJDjD:

lolz
u will leave senate to become a minister grin

wawu

and u are even comparing COS and APC national chairman to an ordinary minister grin grin

oga that list will be amended. tinubu just sent it just to beat the 60days deadline in the constitution.
Tinubu just wanted to be president. he wasnt prepared for governanace

Its NOT funny if you know that most of the land called Lagos today was cut from Ogun state.
You're very wrong sir. Do note that lagosians are on this forum also. The natives of ogun state and lagos are of same ethnicity reason why the flow seems to be borderless. Ijebu, awori and egun part of the ethnic group in the two state are native to both state. You can be an awori from sango in ogun state or an awori from ojo in lagos state or an ijebu from ibeju-lekki or an ijebu from ijebu-ode.

She's from anambra.shes taking the slot of SS because of oluremi.if not, rivers will produce two slots

There was a publication that states that she is from Ebonyi State, but her husband is from Abi LGA of Cross River State, Abi LGA shares boundaries with Ebonyi State. This makes her a Cross Riverian by marriage.
She is a twin with a brother, spent all her life in Calabar, Federal Gobernment Girls College, Calabar&UNICAL are the schools she attended before obtaining MSc in Public Health in the UK.
She was heavily involved in Student politics during her days in UNICAL. I do follow her.

She should be the youngest Minister nominee @37. Born 27th October, 1986.
