The Oyo State workers have, on Monday, locked the state secretariat in Ibadan to demand palliatives, upward review of pension allowances and payment of salary deduction.

Participating in the protest are workers and pensioners under the banners of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and their affiliates.

Led by their union leaders, the workers are also demanding payment of leave bonuses, payment of gratuities to retirees who have stagnated since the year 2021and release of promotion letters for the Years 2021 and 2022.

No government official is yet to address the protesting workers at of time of filling this report.

Their efforts can't boost govt revenue in any way. They better take what's on offer.

What happened to their IGR that is bigger than entire African countries put together ?

So their large land mass that is bigger than America and Asia couldn't generate money to pay their workers ?

Indeed, a big unproductive head is a budern to the shoulder!

Oyo state workers are really teaching Igbos a good lesson. You guys are getting what you deserve. The chicken have come home to roost. The evils you supported then is now knocking on your door today. What a great lesson you guys taught the Igbos. Incase you don't know, yorubas are now fleeing to the east for succour despite sit at home . Some Igbo states are also increasing salaries. It is time to know who is who in this country, now the world knows who are the men and who the boys are in this country.

When next we go to the polling unit, we should vote without sentiments. We should elect people with vision capable of changing the status quo for good.

Some people will rush here with adrenaline to say they must suffer. People of hate and shameless losers.

They won’t face their region , their region has the least IGR in south

Ogun IGR alone is bigger than the entire southeast
Same Oyo is 2X the overhyped Anambra
