donjazzet:stop deceiving your self military regimes in did better than the democratic rule, all our refineries were built by the military , democracy couldn't even maintain them, check our federal high ways they were built by the military. And again the dictatorship in Saudi Arabia is better than our democracy in Nigeria ,Iran is better than Nigeria ,north Korea is better than Nigeria ,Libya was better under a dictator than it's today's democracy. As a matter of fact democracy is foreign to our nature in Africa,it was imposed on us and even when we're not matured for it. Every country can have their own style of government that best suit them provided human rights are not abused 13 Likes 1 Share |

โกIn a joint press release, Burkina Faso and ๐ฒ๐ฑ Mali express their solidarity with Niger and warn that any military intervention against the country will be tantamount to a declaration of war between Burkina Faso and Mali. Almost immediately after the joint statement, Guinea joins in warning the outside forces and threatening to enter the war on the side of the ๐ณ๐ช Niger Military Council. Recall that the total population in Niger (26 million), Mali (22.5 million) and Burkina Faso (22.5 million) exceeds 70 million people. With ๐ฌ๐ณ Guinea 85 million. 5 Likes

Watcharena: So, both of those countries do not have any other language by which they can address the international community?? And Why couldn't Mali object to the statement being written in French since it has cut ties with France? 1 Like |

Dvdpity:What is this one saying? Are you drunk or something? What has coup d'etat in Niger have to do with Nigeria disintegrating? Look around you is anyone ready for war in Nigeria?? Seems some of you lots are too myopic to see how big and respected Nigeria is due to our size and strength. Same reason Russia is fighting American hegemon in Ukraine not to infintrate too close and disintegrate her because a bigger Russia is very powerful and in every citizen's interest. I'm truly indifferent whether we stay whole or in parts in the near future through diplomatic means but Make no mistake: this is 2023 and no longer 1960s where anyone can do too much. Any region or any fรธol that dares try to stir up the polity through conflict shall be subdued by all necessary means. 3 Likes |

โก๏ธ๐ซ๐ท France is not preparing a military intervention in Niger and is counting on the establishment of constitutional order in the country. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna "We categorically deny this," she said in response to a request to comment on statements by rebels in Niger that France was preparing a military intervention. "Our only priority is to ensure the safety of our fellow citizens." Catherine Colonna believes that the release and reinstatement of the President of ๐ณ๐ช Niger, Mohamed Bazum, is possible before the expiration of the ultimatum of the Economic Community West African countries and before the possible introduction of African forces into the country.

Badassniggga: But we can already see that rights are indeed already trampled upon. The public is being gagged and the flow of information being tightened. Let me ask you a simple question; Do you personally wish to see Nigeria slide into a military dictatorship? If tomorrow we heard that some military men have overtaken Aso rock and the leader of the coupist becomes the head of government, blocks access to Facebook, Twitter and nairaland, how would you feel? I need a genuine answer from you. I desperately really want to know if they are some paid Russian agents here. WOULD YOU WANT A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP FOR NIGERIA? |
