nothing can save that series

The world building in The Witcher has to be one of the worst I've seen. All the locations and sets seem cheap...and they look alike
Most of the cities seem to be made up of just 1 room

Compare it to something like Game of Thrones where you can always tell where the events are because of how unique each location looks

They didn't even do proper fleshing of the global politics and different regions...

We don't even know how long it takes to travel across regions. One moment a character is in one place, another moment they're in a totally different place

The cuts are also weird. One cut someone is moving in a cave, next cut they're out on an open cliff with no link whatsoever to how they got there...

Hijack looks like a good show but this episode 5 has me scrambling for brain cells because I am not understanding.

The good old smart detective who figured out who the hijackers are apparently became not so smart within 5 mins and gets played by an old woman.

But the part that really had me gasping for air was when able bodied agents couldn't catch up to said old woman who was seemingly about 100m away running through a forest in slippers.

And is Sam in charge now? He seems to be the only hostage with the freedom to do as he pleases. Brother literally calling all the shots in that episode.

A clockwork orange and Black Mirror regen.....but on meth and steroids!.

I have been sitting on this since 2019 and i finally decided to give it a go and what a fking ride it was!. I have never been so enthralled by a pilot of a show in a while as this, a fast paced neatly written 1 hour intro into the subject matter that immediately sucked me in to digest the whole show in one sitting.

The show is set in the period between 2019 - 2032, projecting or "prophesying" if you will, on how fluid the world has/will become touching on subjects such as politics, sexuality, AI and CGI use, Climate change, economic collapse, Immigration mess etc. The Lyon family, a family based in Manchester, UK, set as the base for the various interloping plot lines that brilliantly touch on all these subject matters with a soothing and yet terrifying score to properly drive home the narrative. Some of the narratives of the show are already happening now!, like AI taking jobs, the mass immigration crisis from people developing countries 3rd world to developed countries, and it shockingly touched on the Russian - Ukriane conflict a bit, that I had to actually check that this show was infact made in 2019 and not 2023....just brilliant brilliant stuff!

BBC and HBO already make good shows on thier own respectively, but imagine them combining to make this? it's total flames and magic from start to finish.

Highly... Highly... recommended

Nothing makes any sense...the characters don't make any sense...

It feels like a random mash-up of different scenes with no cohesion or connection...
The scenes feel almost random...characters act randomly
