I have been sitting on this since 2019 and i finally decided to give it a go and what a fking ride it was!. I have never been so enthralled by a pilot of a show in a while as this, a fast paced neatly written 1 hour intro into the subject matter that immediately sucked me in to digest the whole show in one sitting.

The show is set in the period between 2019 - 2032, projecting or "prophesying" if you will, on how fluid the world has/will become touching on subjects such as politics, sexuality, AI and CGI use, Climate change, economic collapse, Immigration mess etc. The Lyon family, a family based in Manchester, UK, set as the base for the various interloping plot lines that brilliantly touch on all these subject matters with a soothing and yet terrifying score to properly drive home the narrative. Some of the narratives of the show are already happening now!, like AI taking jobs, the mass immigration crisis from people developing countries 3rd world to developed countries, and it shockingly touched on the Russian - Ukriane conflict a bit, that I had to actually check that this show was infact made in 2019 and not 2023....just brilliant brilliant stuff!

BBC and HBO already make good shows on thier own respectively, but imagine them combining to make this? it's total flames and magic from start to finish.

Highly... Highly... recommended

Another British series, another good outing.. Thoroughly enjoyed all seven episodes of the show..

I'm gonna bet that Alice the flight control attendant is a part of the organized crime ring responsible for the hijack..What a convenient time for her son's school to call and for to leave too..

You are wrong, She is not a part of anything. She is one of the few people who tried everything they could to make sure the plane landed and all passengers safe.


Besides only one half of the organization wanted the plane to crash so they can make more money and was already dealt with. The call about her kid being sick in school came before Sam even got inside the cockpit and her colleague didnt want to tell her because she was on the phone with sam and had enough on her plate already to worry about, it wasn't anything serious which was why she held back the information and only told her when they had finished dealing with the crisis.


The story is done and dusted, If there is going to be a season 2 its going to be Sam the main character with a new set of people handling another high stakes situation but definitely not another hijack coz Idris Elba already said that if season 2 will happen, it will be in a completely different setting from season 1 Kinda like Amazon is doing with the Reacher series.

You're certain it was nothing like a woman in such situation will get a call from her gang and they'll tell her straight away "Hey, hijack dn finish oo, come carry your share"..As for your crashing, what if she didn't have the stomach for the crash or was even concerned about it like the other prisoner?..

In every gang, there's people interested in just the money and they're those who are extremists..As for the series being over like this, no attempt to find out who leaked the inside trading info or to catch the escaped prisoner ?
