Lagos state had a lot of energy when that girl died at chrisland. The school principal, a teacher and the vendor of the faulty machine were in the dock for manslaughter. I hope they can manifest this same energy for the hospital CMD, facilities team and the vendor of the lift. Not any spiritual arrow nonsense. At the barest minimum the lift should have been marked as out of order. |

https://www.nairaland.com/7788430/asari-dokubo-storms-abuja-boys 😠😠😢😠😢 Only God knows what this man has been doing for BAT long before now for him to be getting away with the things he's currently doing now.. This is how a peaceful protest would be hijacked and the government is just sitting idly by watching.. |

A40:The bold is what happens almost everyday in government hospitals , it’s quite unfortunate . I am 💯 in support of holding the government accountable for the avoidable death of the young doctor . I am also considering more people can die from the sudden strike which takes effect immediately . There will be people already scheduled for surgery in the coming days in those hospitals and the doctors strike will surely affect them/their chances of staying alive . I am all in for the government to do something about this incident , punish all the people found culpable like those responsible for not carrying out the maintenance , review the regulations around blood donation( I learnt this was the reason she didn’t get blood on time ) and come out strong on reviewing doctors welfare . But we all know most of this cannot be done in an instant |

GloriousGbola:People usually give stupid excuses to back up their nonsense action, I'm not surprise. Though I am surprise about the rich deposit of Uranium in Niger. Was thinking the country didn't even have any natural resource. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 7:50am On Aug 03, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:Which will begin to question the mind way the hospital has been running its emergencies. For 1hr before they were able to bring out of the elevator, none of her colleagues in the hospital even thought getting emergency aids on the ground available for when she's brought out. Every single one of them should be ashamed. |

If sanwo is serious, they will start the investigation with a suspension of the CMD, the hospital chief engineer and some other senior and management officers It could be the engineering team who have been eating money meant for servicing and maintenance of the lift It could also be the ogas at the top refusing to provide money for maintaining the lift And it could be a mix of all. There is also a general belief that engineers are eating money and so the finance or management guys refuse to release money for critical repairs. We also have the scenarios where someone in management has a friend who can get it done for a fraction of the cost. I remember one time when this ediat cfo called one electrician to do quote for a job in our terminal. It is a delicate balancing act because if you comot hand and there is now an incident, the same management will still come after you. I have said multiple times when you have a major incident, it was always preceded by minor incidents. Unfortunately as Nigerians the response rather than a proper investigation and rectification is some nonsense testimony. The number of failures you need for a lift to fall all the way to the floor without even an emergency brake kicking in. This is criminal negligence. For the sake of those who are not liable, I hope they have their mail trail. |

larride:Emergency response require constant practice. It also requires capital investment. Enforcing this culture in a private Nigerian business environment is hard enough. For a public Nigerian business environment... |

GloriousGbola:The CMD is the first person to go. He should've been fired already sef but he will most likely be a senior doctor so another wahala. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 8:01am On Aug 03, 2023 |
GloriousGbola:This is emergency for one of their own. This unfortunate incident happened inside the hospital, not outside of it. These people knows what she'll need if she makes it out of the crashed elevator and for 1hr that she was stuck nothing was done. It speaks to how poorly run the hospital was and how non chalfant are colleagues were. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:03am On Aug 03, 2023 |
larride:They did say she needed blood. Well, no blood was available. I don't think that translates to non-chalancy |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:11am On Aug 03, 2023 |
izzou:A hospital is supposed to have a blood bank on ground. And if not then they should be able to reach out to somewhere that can supply blood urgently. It is really annoying that these stories continue to repeat themselves. This is the same thing that happened with the lagbus incident. No blood available. |

izzou:General hospital are meant to have blood bank or they can always communicate with other general hospitals for blood or other certified blood bank. They knew the crash happened, the knew she has lost blood but none made move to get her blood for the 1hr that she was stuck? The talks about how badly run the hospital was. This is one of their colleagues oo. I shudder to think how they run their emergencies. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:33am On Aug 03, 2023 |
larride:How are they supposed to get the blood? Something is not available, and you are blaming someone who does not have the authority and capacity to provide it. |
