I was in an office today and the building vibrated, I asked what happened and was told it does that everytime a heavy truck drives by.

Why should a building vibrate when heavy trucks move around it? Have you experience this before?

The Soil also is another Factor, that's why is always good to Run a Soil Test to determine the type of design needed in certain Soil and Structures.

A Structure well built is not suppose to Vibrate due to Heavy Truck passage.

Engineer in the house how do u guys manage those community guys, unions (carpenter union, concrete union, pop union....) when you are given a contract in different area. yesterday one "iron bender" union came to my site and seized tools from my workers. had to pay 15k to retrieve. make una give me the scope abeg..

Not everywhere has it, I was lucky at my End nothing like that so one can brng anyone from anywhere to work.
However if you have them the best way is to deal with the head of the CDC to sort everything and provide you with recipt for all payment

I have settled the community n gotten receipt already but there is like a workers union for almost every work on the site ( benders, concrete women, pop,carpenter.... just name it) now each union will come separately when the job gets to their part. omooo e choke
