Germany and brazil are out
Naija should hustle hard against england we might be lucky
3 africa teams in knockout stage for the first time
Germany are not serious they only have themselves to blame. I don't like seeing teams pump goals in a first match like werey. That overconfidence and complacency they carried to the subsequent matches and got deservedly dumped out.

President Tinubu need to cut ties with Asari or publicly condemn his activities before it get out of hand. For Asari to openly threaten a sitting Governor is enough for him to be in DSS custody, not to talk of publicly displaying Ak-47s.

You no know Tinubu.

Asari is the MC Oluomo of Abuja. That's the Tinubu way. Empower thugs.

The results speak for themselves I mean even the West with their brand of wokeness are still a preferable option than the East all day everyday but for Africa that theory is really being put to the test. I don't know if it's black man factor but mehn a lot of these Francophone countries are ridiculously poor.

I can't think of any half decent country I don enter for West African corridor apart from Ghana. Cote D'Ivoire to a smaller extent, you see the rest. Can't speak for Niger and Chad cos I never enter there but you see the rest wey I don touch.

What's going on in those places e reach for them at the very minimum to cut off ties with France completely and try their luck with any other country whether East or West

France likely has their own problem. Some days back people were arguing that French colonial policies were better than British because France allows easy access for their colonies. Even in Europe sef France is not known to be that hardworking they are mostly enjoyment people and tend towards socialism. but these countries are mostly desert with few resources except you wan sell sand.

If yu have been to the North especially Zamfara Jigawa them, now multiply that by 5 in terms of size, lack of resources and poverty

Nigerians were the ones who decided to pitch their tent with Tinubu

More Nigerians voted Tinubu than voted for Obi

If you have a straight contest between Tinubu and Obi, Tinubu will beat him like a snake all day everyday
This is a poor lie. But the tribunal will decide that. So far, the evidence is on the contrary. For example INEC said Tinubu won Rivers and Benue states but their results show otherwise. Peter Obi won in Lagos where Tinubu was governor twice and controls political power.

So this argument is dead on arrival.

The truth is that Tinubu should never have run for president. He is a thief, liar, crook, criminal, and thug. This is just being respectful, because he is actually worse.

The election umpire told us Tinubu scored more votes than Obi and you are saying its a lie. So who should we believe? you?

We looked at Obis petition nowhere did he say or contest that he scored more votes than Tinubu

Obi won in Lagos, so what? Is he contesting for president of Lagos? Tinubu won Nigeria and beat Obi handily

You can throw tantrums and call Tinubu anything you want but today he is your president and Obi's president as well.

Anyone that does not like that fact can hug transformer

France have been sucking their colonies dry and meddling in their affairs for years, countries like Cameroon, Mali, Burkina, Cote D'Ivoire, Senegal have all been under the apron strings of France and all these time what's to show for it?

British oh French oh your colonial masters are never in the business of wishing you well, that's like a bookie wishing you win or a drug dealer wishing you go clean. No such thing

Sankara was on to something in Burkina Faso, look what happened to him. The katakata they have caused in all them African countries is what has come home to roost and what they are battling with now.

Gold, Uranium, Cocoa is one of the many resources that France has been calling dibs on and shaking regimes in these countries instead of allowing them full independence. Not like our leaders too have helped matters with their own corruption and lack of foresight

Going off that bold, then why blame France for their woes, its like blaming the bookie for your gambling problem or blaming Cartel for your drug addition. Most of those countries are 60yrs independent, time to take responsibility for themselves

Let them try the Russian option, I am sure nothing will be different, The country Russia wey you dey run to sef have their own issue shebi ibiime dey always post image say a large number of Russians still shit in the open. Shey na country wey dey shit for bush in 2023 wan help you?

First round of games All African teams struggled to score and all qualified
Yea, African teams really turn up for second and third round of games, it's good to see. Brazil were very poor, and yea USA dey struggle.

European teams don dey take female football serious, was only a matter of time before the US dominance was cut to size. But then again, maybe I'm speaking too early cheesy

Oh...they try then, I assumed it was normal 5/32 African slots in the tournament.

I really don't see how we'd stand England playing the way we've been playing. Very few among our players Sabi keep things simple, and that ironically is the hardest thing in female football. That white girl is the best at keeping things simple, but she no strong like that. I think Asisat shouldn't start that match sha, she no dey press at all, and no get linkup play...and to make things worse she's not so clinical.

Maybe we should start two strikers, Asisat and some other player that can do the grunt work.

You can't list any of these countries problems and leave out France. France and England did not adopt the same colonial style. You can see most of the Francophone countries had 1 or 2 rulers that were President for inordinate amount of time.

Boigny for Cote D'Ivoire
Eyadema for Togo
Campaore for Burkina
Biya for Cameroon

All people propped up by France, the one man that tried to pushback they used his people and murked him

It's not by accident that these countries want French presence and interests out of their land. They are the ones that have experienced it and know where the shoe is pinching them for good or for bad

Look at it this way. Niger for example is top 5 poorest country in the World, Russia cannot make them poorer even if they tried but not giving cheap access to France to chop their uranium will somewhat make things a bit harder for France.

They're at rock bottom even with the so called assistance of France and the West. If they have evaluated their situation and believe they cannot do any worse then who am I to suggest otherwise

Like Rawlings for Ghana, or Mugabe for Zimbabwe or Mubarak for Egypt or Arap Moi for Kenya

IBB fit do am for us, Abacha shebi if not for death he don transform himself to civilian and all 5 political parties adopted him as their candidate, youths all over Nigeria were campaigning for Abacha, if not for untimely death, who wan stop 3 or 7 terms for Abacha? The west already cut us off so nothing else dem fit do besides to invade us

No colonial master will serve your interest, theyare all after their own interest whether its US, China, Russia France or UK. The Sankara wey we dey talk sef, how do you know if he had lived longer wont be like all those revolutionary coupists who became terrors after a while.
See the list of coupists in Nigeria we only romanticize the ones wey dem regime short like Murtala and pre-2015 Buhari when you see their regime for a long time you go see that Sankara is as bad as Campaore. Na Initial Gragra statements we dey cling onto. If Buhari no enter in 2015 na so we for dey dwell on stories of how he was a revolutionary and ousted by the west because of one thing or the other

So you really believe these Niger coupists? LOL. If the west I mean US wants to show power, they will give correct money that Russia cannot match to them and they will start singing a different tune. How many times have we see anti western revolutionaries after 2 visits to New York become more American than the ones they chased

NEWS RELEASE

PRESIDENT TINUBU DISPATCHES ENVOY TO NIAMEY, URGES ROBUST DIALOGUE TO END IMPASSE

The Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dispatched a delegation to Niger Republic with a mandate to expeditiously resolve the current political impasse in the country.

The action was in line with the resolution reached at the end of the extraordinary summit of the ECOWAS held last weekend in Abuja.

The delegation, headed by former Nigerian Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Rtd), left for Niamey on Thursday following a briefing by President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.

The former Nigerian Head of State is joined in the delegation by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III and the President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. Omar Alieu Touray.

The President has also sent a separate delegation led by Ambassador Babagana Kingibe to engage with the leaders of Libya and Algeria on the Niger crisis.

Briefing the two delegations, President Tinubu charged them to engage all stakeholders robustly with a view to doing whatever it takes to ensure a conclusive and amicable resolution of the situation in Niger for the purposes of African peace and development rather than a move to adopt the geopolitical positions of other nations.

"We don't want to hold brief for anybody. Our concern is democracy and the peace of the region," the President said.

Speaking after the meeting, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Rtd) said the delegation would meet the coup leaders in Niger to present the demands of the ECOWAS leadership.

Both leaders of the two missions expressed optimism on the outcome of the assignments.
