Good day nairalanders, pls how do I know if my NIN has been activated, I was asked to activate it after I got my NIN slip last week and I did, and I was told that it will take 48 hours to get activated pls how do I know if it has been activated

Dial *346# or *785# and then follow instructions. Or download the the NIMC App and put your NIN number there to check.

But I doubt it has been validated cos when I did mine I paid #5k before it was validated.

Try to link it with an mtn sim that has not been linked before by dialling *785*nin#. If it shows it's an invalid, that means it's not activated, if its shows it's successfully linked or failed that means it's validated

Bro when u paid 5k for the validation how many days did it take to get validated before u started using it.

I think i will go these guys above me way.

I paid like today and the next day it was validated.

Why would you have to pay 5k before it would be validated?
That's extortion and a criminal offence punishable by law!

Men this country is disgustingly crazy, how can a government ask you to enroll for their database and you still pay for it??

you can imagine
They asked me to pay 2k before I will be given the slip,I thought it has ended. When I got to the bank cos I wanted to upgrade my account and the customer care said it is not valid.

I can called the man that gave me the NIN slip he said that I will pay 5k for it to be validated.

So total of everything I paid is 7k. This country is gone I swear.

Contact Dr Paul, he helped me in correcting my NIN date of birth DOB mistake and arranging my names accordingly. I have checked on the portal and printout my NIN copy it reflects
