Google Bard has access to Google's data base of information which includes
1-Google search of which Google search has 2.4 million search requests per minute and 8.5 billion search requests per day.

2- YouTube

3- Google Lens

4- Google Chrome

So Bard has access in my opinion to more information than ChatGpt.

I have tried both and I prefer Google Bard.

Though both sometimes make mistakes as they are still experimenting

I use google most times, as for chatgpt, it can generate a good story, although it's very useful in its own way.
Secondly, it depends on what type of research or type of book you're writing on.

What I can relate is that google barb gives reference and as such this makes it superior above others.

But in a situation where reference(s) is/are not needed then
I think I'll go for Chat got.
