That's not the issue. We can have multiple options but the one that is active and gone well advanced is the Lagos to Morocco gas pipeline. As you must have realized from my original response, we don't need Niger to take gas to Europe. We can even run another through same route having seen how risky it's to run pipeline through those terrorists infested route. All the countries for the active gas pipeline are peaceful and are already paying. Nigeria doesn't need Niger. It's Niger that needs us and our gas. This their action just killed that project to help them with our gas. We can equally convert the gas into LNG and ship like the US does.
Your dead Lagos has no gas . All Gas at least 70% of them will come from the SE. The Morocco proposal is expensive and Nigeria will pay many countries rent compare that with just Niger and Algeria..so it's game over on that front. We won't help Europe side step Russia. They must come Nigeria in ships if they want our gas.

Nigeria has cut electricity exports to Niger, and you expect that Niger will gladly allow a gas pipeline to pass through Niger to Algeria? grin
They don’t have any say.

You just said my thoughts. Tinubu has made it clear he wants Nigerian to compete with Russia in Europe gas market.
Whilst the west also needs to break away for their dependency on Russia gas , an autocratic Niger with Alliance with Russia might be barrier to the project.
Are you saying he's willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, even if it means destabilizing West Africa like NATO's actions in Libya? NATO's success in destabilizing countries for their national and economic interests could be attributed to their distance (thousands of kilometers away from the war zone) from the negative consequences.
This is why they are so pissed about Russia war in Ukraine because the blowback after war is gonna be devastating to the Europe.
Now, you're suggesting Nigeria should engage in a war with its neighboring country (an extension of northern Nigeria) for economic gain? What has Nigeria achieved with the revenue from selling crude oil to Europe and America? Supporting such a war might only benefit corrupt ruling elites.
