Admittedly, the community shield is a glorified friendly, however, it is important that we not only have a strong showing against Pep/ City but win this game. To me, this is more of a psychological battle for the players and coaching staff than a match.

I miss watching the lads and can’t wait to have a go at the EPL and possibly the UCL.

All the coaches have confirmed you are playing short 1 without the ball if you play Havertz anywhere around the middle. He is technically gifted enough to produce good moments as a striker.

He is not exactly helpful when the team is trying to win the ball back or pressing to cover spaces. We can play him in the middle against weaker opponents where we expect to dominate possession but against strong teams like City who love to hold the ball, we can’t.
