Niger military deployed their anti aircraft defence system and threatened to shoot down any aircraft entering Niger airspace
When I see ignorant agbado fools supporting Ebola to his suicide, I will just leave. One Yoruba guy even compared Niger with Sao Tome and Principe. Some also mention Gambia. Lol, what they don't know is that Niger is a very large desert country, with over 1 million square miles! All they need to do is concentrate their tanks around Niamey then strategically place surface-to-air missiles in equidistant positions facing South. Place landmines on the roads leading towards the capital. Place snippers around villages and settlements and using human shield for cover. With fly zone in place means they can easily shoot down any plane that flies into their airspace.

The only way ECOWAS/Nigeria can win this war is to rout Nigerien army within days, but that too would be extremely difficult given the above scenario. Again, once the war drags on, small/poor ECOWAS countries will start withdrawing. Pressure will mount on Ebola as the cost begin to weigh down on Nigeria. At the end there would be a stalemate and return to negotiation.

Sounds smart but they should be smarter than that....
TheBillyonaire:
Bad strategy.

No fly zone in war time does not stop enemy fly-in, but stops commercial flights. Let's deploy a thousand drones in 5 minutes and exhaust their batteries and then get our jets to drop bombs on their tanks and inventories.

We can start with that.

Putting up a thousand drones on the sky of Niger and flooding the sky for just 5 minutes will be something. I imagine there will be massive vibration into their sky and their stray rains of bullets and mortars will kill a few of their people and put so much fear in their minds, and as soon as that is over, just 5 minutes after we hit their inventories and tanks and then the ground troop swoops into their tank farms and use IEDs to blow up their fuel supplies..

Let's start with that. Lets go to war for peace and respect. If we can fucck Niger and Mali up, we can keep our borders more secure by setting up Miltary bases on those locations against Boko.

we don't need this war ,is just that our president has already spoken ,if he did not go to war is a problem for him at international level because he will loose respect from some people abroad.

Then at home if he invade them is a problem for northern NIgeria

You watch too much films. .and that is why people use Propaganda to hoodwink you into supporting Nonsense.

Where will they get fuel from?

Where will they get drones from? Even if they buy, who are the mercenaries that will operate them?

The Jets and helicopters you operate are obsolete and that is why they breakdown and are easily smashed by insurgents.

If it's ground battle, they will kill your troops mercilessly, because it's their terrain.

So before you talk just try and think...spits

I want us to replace France in Niger, we need those Uranium and Gold. SO whatever it takes to get France and US military bases out should be welcomed.

Let us not also forget our Gas Pipeline to Europe through Niger and Algeria. And we also need to ensure that there is no Dam across River Niger from Senegal through Niger to Nigeria.

So its a chance to own Niger. Everything must be on the table. We can either win their respect through war, or sanction them into submission.

It's all good and well....

But..

With our visionless and ambitionless and every other lesses leaders?

The old guy in Aso Villa is bold to have thought of it in the first place. At least whatever cost the invasion would take could be made up for with the benefits the seemingly weak Nigerien region has.

Still, I don't trust the cowards to make any head of the situation.

You need me as commander in Chief for your wars, then you need me at CBN to create money database and inject liquidity into the system via massive infrastructural revolution and mopped up excess liquidity via Export subsidy.
